Inexpensive SATA ratchet from Amazon. Cost only $11.62 and seems like a good strong design?

That is a lot of play with that anvil. It will definitely get worse with time. I know they are made by the makers of Gearwrench. I do not have any SATA tools, but have I heard that for the low price they are pretty good, like there sockets. Now I do have the Gearwrench 120xp comfort grips qty(3) and I love them!!! Great video review my friend. Thank you. 😎

Wow how many tool brands are manufactured under Apex now? I’d definitely save some money over GearWrench! Thanks for the vids!

According to their website they have like 10 companies

They’re not the exact same as gearwrench, project farm tested them and gearwrench outperformed this. However, this outperformed many more expensive ones in pretty much all areas.

Sata makes 120xp. A dual pawl 60 tooth ratchet. It'd the same as the gearwrench. Considering there are both made by apex tool.
@snapringchronicles30203 жыл бұрын
Yes they look to be identical. The Gearwrench is pricier I guess just because of the name lol. I think I might pick up one of those 120 Sata’s

That’s a bummer on the anvil play. I mean I have proto ratchets that also have lots of play so it’s not super unusual but not ideal.

Hi,I like your video.1 pawl vs 2 pawls (45/72teeth 1/4), which better? Thanks.
@snapringchronicles30203 жыл бұрын
I know SATA makes a 120 position(60 tooth) ratchet that has 2 pawls. I do not have that ratchet so I don’t know what it looks like inside. I’ve seen other ratchets with similar mechanisms and they seems ok. Personally I think the single pawl are slightly more stronger and reliable

I purchased the 1/4'' variant of this ratchet, the problem is when I insert a socket on it, it kinda stays loose in there, and I can remove the socket by hand, without pressing the quick release button... Is this supposed to be like that or should I get a replacement? Thank you.
@snapringchronicles302011 ай бұрын
It might be the sockets. A lot of times 1/4 sockets don’t have dimples inside the square opening. If they don’t have the dimples the quick release has nothing to hold on to besides friction.

I have bought the 3/8 gl12911 spark plug ratchet from sata and the 1/2 gl13972 and 1/4. Are they any good? (love your videous)
@snapringchronicles30203 жыл бұрын
They seem good for the price. They are made by Apex Group that make a lot of different ratchets including Gearwrench, etc.

Same as the Home Depot Husky ratchet. Same manufacturer
@snapringchronicles30202 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think Gearwrench has the same one too.

I have this same ratchet in the duralast variant. I don’t really like it that much so it sits in the bottom of the ratchet drawer.

I might be wrong but I don’t think SATA paint gun company and SATA tools are related ?🤔
