The 'lost years' (also called silent years, unknown years, or missing years) of Jesus generally refers to the period of Jesus's life between his childhood and the beginning of his ministry, a period not described in the New Testament. Theories have emerged that Jesus visited India (and Nepal) for spiritual enlightenment during that period. Though modern mainstream Christian scholarship has generally rejected these theories, the findings of Mr. Richard Bock, a movie maker who created many films on Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, are truly eye-opening and compelling. There was most certainly an incarnation of ' God ' in the 20th century - Sri Ramana Maharshi of Arunachala . His humility , His non attachment to material things , His love for All ( people and animals bith ) , His deep understanding of scrioture , His profound unigue utterances , the power of His Mouna , His absolute integriry , are all just some of the many qualities He exhibited . Richard Bock joined Indra Devi in India for Baba’s forty-third birthday in November 1968, and returned with eight millimetre film and the recordings of Baba which became the LP entitled, Sathya Sai Baba Chants the Bhajans. Richard Bock was the Founder-President of Pacific Jazz and World Pacific Records. Through a long personal and professional relationship with Pandit Ravi Shankar, the world renowned sitar maestro, Mr. Bock was instrumental in introducing classical Indian music to large audiences in the West. He lived a simplest, obedient life till His last breath. Him (Jesus) following His earthly, learning His earthly business between 12-30th years is another display of His humility and responsible nature. The answer to your question is because of their dualstic mental understanding of their own scriptures. Jesus in India challenges the very foundation of their belief in the divine birth, the blood sacrifice of Jesus by crucifixion paying for all sins etc. No acceptance of reincarnation, one life to get it right or suffer eternal consequence. The Jesus most Christians believe in would not have needed to learn anything Spiritual from anyone as he is literally believed to be a incarnation of the Source, aka God As he alledgly did as kid in Jewish temple. Best to do what he and gurus say and focus on the Spirit here and now and put aside dusty old scrolls as they are means to nothing but head, mental knowledge. "A blind man, reading Brail, can learn the names of different flowers and their differing colors but he can't even imagine the individual or collective beauty of what he is reading about." Christian doctrine, is a muddled mix of the God up in the sky somewhere who is a murderous, blood sacrifice demanding serial killer and a gentle God who is absolute love Omnipresent. I can imagine a young Jesus getting away from parents early in life not wanting to be obligated to marry some lassie. In a lost apocryphal text called The Gospel of the Holy Twelve, which was intentionally left out the canonized bible by the council of Nicea and was smuggled into a Tibetan monastery where it remained in safe keeping by the Dali lama since the 4th Century and was translated into latin when discovered in 1870s by a clergyman passing through Tibet. To “Christ” someone was the act of using a certain purple dye (highly sought after in ancient times and associated with the Phoenicians) that was “worth more than gold” and was used and still is used in initiation rites. He stood up to read, "where he had been brought up" "As was his custom", a custom or tradition is something an individual is following for a long period. That means he was reading in synagogue since his brought up years. He never came to India. If he did he would have preached polytheism too.

I believe Jesus is truly the Son of God. I think God wanted Jesus to go to India to learn the teachings of Lord Buddha because God knew the profound wisdom Buddha possessed, which surpasses all others. There is a slight problem with that phrase - ' I Am ...' .- it's not there in the earliest copies of the Gospel. Having said that I do believe that to stain God Realization then you do have to imitate the life of Christ , or other genuinely Self Realized Sages eg Sri Ramana Maharshi. So from the point of view of rigid Churchianity This phrase ' I Am .....' is used as a tool for factionalism . Apparently Issa was, just as was in the bible to the Priest of Jews, against ALL the teachings around there - this includes hindus, zoroastrians, buddhists and so on; and they were trying to kill him. He found refuge in the high mountain among the monks where he studied ALL of their theology. To which Issa concluded are all wrong. presumably recorded and documented by the monks. This explains why the monks won't let the world see those scrolls. Because even though the one point in the contents of Mossa (Moses) seems to contradict the Bible funnily enough it does not with Issa. And just as Philippians 2:11 wrote that every tongue will confess, even in these scrolls it is written that he is the BEST OF THE SON OF MAN, THE BLESSED ONE. Even the Chief Monk during this time viz the discovery of the scroll, confess that Issa is the one above all the Buddhas that have reincarnated. And every teachings/words of Issa we found in the scroll does not differ as written in the bible. They claim to have taught Issa yet every teachings of Issa they themselves recorded contradicts their believes. On the contrary, Issa warned of them and their believes. Hence, even IF Issa was indeed Jesus they have added to suppose and confused people into believing their teachings which Issa did not. For our Saviour is the First and the Last, Alpha and Omega and he will reign forever. Amen.
