On the face of it (pun intended) from other showing of classic 'pineapple' scarring, and mere logic, it would seem that the scarring comes about particularly from LEAVING the offending material in place. As time passes, the body accepts the hole created and filled by the blocking material, and so even when eventually popped, insufficient collagen is produced t erase the hole and the sufferer is left with a small crater. Obviously, the body is trying to push these blockages/infected material out thru the skin, which accounts for the blood around and beneath them and the ease with which some pop (or are even brushed off), so it would make sense to give Mother nature as much help as possible.

Couple of questions: How long does it take for the face to recover from all the cutting and picking? Other than this method, are there any skincare routines that could be used that don’t cause such damage? What is the cost for this procedure? What is causing the skin to clog? In the States there are acne meds that when taken care clear up acne and clogged pores in a matter of six months. As entertaining it’s to watch, it bothers me that they are causing additional damage to the clients skin. Just wondering!
@leahmurray6662 жыл бұрын
Alot of these clinics do an after care /ongoing program. They see them every month to unclog the pores, but also put them on antibiotics. They give them skincare products and teach them how to use them, use vitamin packs and use light therapy to help reduce inflammation and prevent scarring.

I wonder if they give them a steam before their session. I feel like that would help open the pores up a lot. Also, I wish they wouldn’t dig so deeply with their nails, terrible for their skin. Also if a blackhead doesn’t come out after once or twice of trying, either attack from a different angle to prevent continuing to dig in the same spot over and over or give that area a minute to recover and come back to it. And instead of their fingernails, use q-tips or squeeze using the fatty parts of your fingers. I know, right? Jab, wipe squeeze, jab, wipe, jab, wipe, squeeze, jab deeper, wipe squeeze, jab. I think you get where I'm going with this-these comments about how tough these blackheads were. I disagree; the technique was terrible. I consider myself an OG popper watcher; been watching since 2007 before people had channels.

If you pay attention she is not trying to cut up the skin. She is trying to dislodge the blackhead. 1:40 is a good example. Jabbing from different angles would cut up her face. As to the squeezing angle, well I imagine they try not to climb on topof the client, so it's a bit limiting as well. When I don't agree with what she's doing I don't think she is wrong or bad. I assume she knows more than me because she can see and touch the skin 🤷♀️

I was surprised too Mark at how awful that extraction must have felt to the client. Nearly all the extractions were hard and really packed into the pores. Maybe a steam treatment beforehand might have helped soften them but I don't think such things are important in Vietnam. It's a case of get on with it and the client has to suck it up. Very difficult for us in the Western world to see . That said, I still favour Thuy above all the others. She is true to herself and her working practices.

When it comes to pimple extraction some are beneficial because the inflamed acne can create hard spots under the skin, so they should be extracted and the ones that are not inflamed and extracted are helping the Client because if they would try to extract with out an excision then they may be more susceptible to compromising the skin more than when a micro excision was made.

Using the wrong tool for those…. a skinny needle-blade (not the scalpel blade) that inserts and goes around the perimeter of the blackhead, loosening it from its pore is the way to extract those without as much pain and skin damage on the client. ❤

There is something so satisfying as watching a stubborn blackhead pop.
Squeeze a different direction if it doesn't come out the first try, you don't have to keep poking it!

I actually have this kind of clogged pores from a combination of high humidity location,oily type skin and wrong type of skincare a year ago. A friend suggested I should get a facial but I chooses to start using tretinoin. Luckily I only had minimal purging. I still have large pores but not clogged anymore 😂

Ok, but it's pretty much guaranteed that anyone whose acne puts up this much of a fight with a professional trying to extract. Would absolutely scar their skin (perhaps even permanently) by trying to pop it themselves. Even if they spent tume learning how. This is obviously an unusually difficult case.

It is unnecessary and very damaging for the skin to keep puncturing a pore multiple times. You need to try and squeeze from another direction and you wouldn’t have to poke the skin again.

@ashtyn4856 Жыл бұрын
Looks pretty traumatic to the skin when the same spot is being lacerated 5, 6 times in a row. A lot of times, it's the angle at which it's pressed on that determines when/if the filament comes out, not necessarily the strength of the squeeze or the depth of the cut. If she took a little more time to assess each one and prioritize efficiency over brute force, the client would have much less scabbing, bruising, and possibility for infection during the healing process. But I get that it's hard not to go into autopilot when doing a repetitive task such as this.
