My sister plants everything she can freeze and put into glass jars for future use. She likes to know how her food was grown. Besides that she doesn't stand in line at the market twice a week or burn gallons of fuel getting there and back. Time and money saved is her favorite part of any day. ☺

A little tip to help you clean and help you keep the green slime off your cement walkway is to use a mixture of water and white vinegar (50/50 ratio) to spray down the area and kill the algae. Rinse the surface alga off the concrete with a water hose. Next, pour white vinegar directly on the surface and scrub using a brush. Use a vigorous back and forth motion. Finally, rinse the vinegar off with a water hose. I just have to say that I love to watch your videos, which I found by chance and haven't stopped watching since!

Honestly, you make me want to buy a power washer...lol... I used to have one maybe about 15 years ago, but it broke after two seasons of use. I’ve often been inspired by your videos and now... power washer... ha ha ha. Our province (Ontario, Canada) is in an emergency lockdown, a “Stay Home” order, but we can still go out and buy things, “curbside delivery”. So, I’m tempted to buy a power washer for the spring cleaning. However, we’re only supposed to leave our house for “essentials”. I wonder if power washer is an essential?... ha ha ha, may have to wait. Happy cleaning, and did I mention, my husband is from Belfast. I’m a 6th generation Canadian. We’re a happy couple. Cheers!

Get a hose end spray bottle(mark it so you won’t use it for anything else), fill it with bleach and spray everything down that has the green slime, let it set for about 15 minutes then power wash. Just make sure the plants are across the yard when you spray the bleach water. Love your videos!!

I love power washing too. My back patio gets zero sunshine so it goes green quick. I put bleach 10% and water 90% in garden sprayer and soak the entire cement and stoney tile floor and give it a day or two to kill the moss. Then power wash it. When it's dry it gets the bleach treatment again. That keeps it from growing for a while unless we get lots of rain. Any pots needing power wash go away from cement onto lawn so the moss spores dont get on cement floor. It's amazing how much dirt accumulates in the pores of cement. Very satisfying to clean siding on the house too! Your vlogs make me happy, thank you! 🌿🌹🌿🌞

At the back of the condo some of the bulbs are blooming and some green leaves are showing on my other flowers. It's exciting because it's the start of a colorful season - aww spring!💐🇨🇦👏💖🌺

Your flowers look a treat! So pretty! Remember if you have loads of extra veg you can always make them into veggie smoothies, especially with your herbs added in. And you can offer them to your neighbors. I want to see what you will do to your shed. You never showed it! Have you torn it down!?!? I hope not! I’m envious of those with a shed! All I have is a garden storage bench and a giant plastic storage bin under my work/dining table. I’ve put out my flowers and herbs (the Texas snow storm did mine in!) in their hanging planters and pots. I love looking onto my little fenced-in patio from my living room, or love eating my lunch out there! Thanks for including the bird chorus- they’re lovely!

Your garden is lovely Catherine. We are just doing up our garden in our new house as previously it was just a dead grass patch and a shed and some unpainted fences and and exposed boiler and oil tank. I was actually power washing our brick driveway yesterday and my hubby has been busy painting our fences and sheds. I chose cuprinol coastal mist blue for fences and main body of the sheds and around the trim and doors of the shed I went for cuprinol sweetpea pink. As we live by the coast and opposite the beach it can be hard as we are always getting coastal gales so lots of my stuff comes out only in good weather and is put away in rain or storms. Hubby has also dug me a flower bed and I have planted cuttings of hydregena and fushsia and Holly that my mum nurtured for me from my old cottage garden and I also transplanted my roses from my cottage garden. I have also filled my borders with lavender and some sweet peas. My border will be all cottage garden planting and over all garden theme is romantic coastal cottage shabby chic. I also bought a lovely Gazebo and for my birthday I got a hot tub so will be putting that up for use during the summer under the gazebo. Our previous cottage garden was 1/3 of an acre and the previous owners was an older gentleman and his wife. He was an excellent gardener and had it like Monty's at Long Meadow. He grew lots of fruit in an orchard and lots of potatoes enough to feed a small village lol and all sorts of other veg plus there were at least 11 flower beds 2 which were huge, one at front of the cottage and one at the side and they were packed to the gils with cottage garden flowers and shrubs. We then were blessed with taking over this magnificent garden but the grass cutting and maintenance was so much work hubby even got a ride on mower to keep up . While there we built raised beds and grew lots of veg and maintained all the orchard and flower beds that were there plus adding our own flowers and veg. I even used to attend the Northern Ireland garden show to get tips and I had the pleasure of meeting Monty and got his autograph he was lovely and gave great advice. The house we bought after renting and restoring our old cottage for ten years only has a small postage stamp garden compared to our cottage but I have a long term chronic health condition now so it's much easier for me to manage and less work for hubby. I can't wait to see your garden flourish this summer and look forward to getting lots of nice ideas for my new garden. Good luck as you know our lovely Irish climate is so unpredictable with sun then the snow lol xx
