Nice upbeat mood on this one. Your head was in a good place. The comment about the holiday made me think. For years I was the only wage earner. I just about covered costs. So to pay for a holiday, and take time off not earning to go away, was out of the question. For that reason I went over 16 years working 6 to 7 days a week with no holiday. Even today semi retired with no money, my last holiday was 5 years ago. If you get a chance for a holiday take it. But cost is always a big factor.

i lived in brighton for many years. its a lovely city with really nice people. its a lot more social than london. i got a culture shock moving to london as its all fast pace and can be really rude as in peoples moods, enjoy brighton if you go brother

You asked the question “would you take a five miles delivery for 9.37p?” I’m a delivery driver for a Chinese takeaway in Lincolnshire, I get paid £7 per hr and £1.80 per 3 miles radius and plus £1 per mile there after. So working out from the info you gave, just over 5 miles and 23mins, I’ll get paid for a 5 miles delivery is £6.50, not forgetting I have a return journey to make to HQ so I get paid even less! Sometimes when delivering for one shop the mileage for a 6 hr shift can rack up 60-80 miles just doing 20-25 deliveries.
