I get what they were trying to do, or at least I think so. The point of the sketch was to "both sides" the issue by portraying both parties as equally incompetent. HOWEVER, that doesn't work when one side is asking simple yes or no questions about the topic of antisemitism and the other is refusing to properly answer. To be clear, I am a liberal Democrat, and I do not align ideologically with Representative Stefanik. However, even I will say that the notion of her being just as incompetent as the people refusing to outright condemn antisemitic behavior is a false equivalency. If they wanted to portray Stefanik in an exaggerated and comedic manner, that's fine, but they should have done so in a way that makes it clear that it's the college professors who we're supposed to be laughing at, not the Congress Members. There's a difference between satire and being the thing you claim to be making fun of, and sketches like this, for all intents and purposes, are a prime example of being the thing.

Thank you for the best comment here among too many who seem unclear as to what happened in Congress, namely that Ms. Stefanik represented the best of America with her courage of conviction and moral clarity conveyed in her questions. The comments here for the most part give the impression that too many have no idea what actually happened in Congress and that they regard SNL as somehow being a worthy source of information through humor rather than another biased propaganda outlet saturated in Leftist bias. That their brand of "humor" was obviously meant to be derived from ridiculing Ms. Stefanik who was clearliy condemning anti-Semitism and calling out those University Presidents who fail to do the same, the propaganda and lies of the mainstream Leftist media continues to march on. Those not seeking the actual truth from mainstream liberal media outlets enable unfortunately.
