Most people don't fully appreciate that a big part of performing comedic sketches is being able to do it without cracking up. Kattan was a master of never breaking character, no matter how far off the deep end he went.

@@waltersstreet Yeah, he definitely lowered the bar. There have been a few stand outs in the last 15 years, but SNL will never have a full cast of solid, all-star character actors like in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's.

i think it's quite hard to sound so incomprehensible on purpose, but he's doing a great job the body language & intonation is very well done too, this is exactly how a very self confident teacher looks & sounds like hilarious skit

@@LimitlessHoops i agree that we look back on old stuff and give it less scrutiny but i dont think anyone is gonna look at the current cast and say any of them were that great. There are at least like 3 funny people of the modern cast though

@@LimitlessHoops Yes this year they had a very good cast. Many of the casts are good. I think the last few decades has shown many talented cast members. Bill Hader, Kate Mckinnon being more recent examples. There were a few crummy years when Lorne was gone, but even then they had a few awesome people. Maybe some years, the cast is perhaps a bit more standout.

I used the “little pop keez” line on my students. They never got it but I got a good laugh looking at their faces when I did it. Never got old. 😂

I 100% had this teacher in high school, and later in life had his sister as a landlord. His name was Mr Brown but he pronounced all R's as W's so it was "Mistah Bwown"

Chriss Kattan is a virtuous actor! Honestly, watched him in this, Mr Peebers, Zimmerman and a few more, he's just underrated in my opinion. This was hilarious!

I didn't see this until I was out of school, but I laughed so hard when I saw him writing on the chalkboard, and "correcting" it. It was like the way some of my teachers scrawled. I couldn't read their writing sometimes.

Had an instructor at rescue school in Lafayette, LA who spoke like that. I asked everyone at the table if I’m the only one who didn’t understand a damn thing. Being from New England and having to understand deep Cajun accent lmao. They all just laughed and called me yankee trash hahaha. Good times and good food down there

I'm a language teacher in adult education, and this is how I start my lessons when my students go all negligent on me.... usually cures them for the next few minutes..hahaaahaahaa.... although, one guy did try to call emergency services one day, because he thought old Ms. M. was having a stroke.

Forrester is the accurate combination of the two bosses I worked for in two different companies. I was not able to understand what my first boss said and couldnt read what my second boss wrote.

yeah, i had a psycho boss that worked near the plant, and he had horrible cell coverage at his house...he'd call me at work, and i would be sweating bullets, because kattan here was just as articulate as that psycho boss.

I had a history teacher like this, that was phenomenal. He remember sometimes he had to write names on the black board because no one could understand him. Big up Monsieur Georges!

probably because this was the snl cast as i was becoming a teenager up until i became an adult but there was something special bout this snl cast, great transition from the old guard to the new that came after. they really held their own and built up a legacy.
