As someone who lives in Los Angeles, I won't stand for these outrageous lies that these sketches are perpetuating: Griffith Park and the 5 are nowhere near the beach. You have to take the 10 all the way to west LA, past the 405 to get to the beaches. If you follow their directions, you're going to end up in Glendale, and they're all going to be wondering "whuuuuuuuyoudoin'ere?"

@@wombatcube- In LA (west of Downtown) from almost Long Beach up into The (San Fernando) Valley, whenever people arrive to a location, especially if they are late, they proceed to tell the person they meet the route they took and frequently that other person then responds with an alternate route that would have been faster (in their mind). Also, if someone says "I've gotta go, because I have to drive to _______.", they will be asked which route that they are planning to take and then, if that is not the best route in someone else's mind, they will then suggest an alternate route. It also occurs between people who have seniority in LA vs people who are new. In 2007 I had a friend call me via Skype from LA... I was living on another continent, but had lived in LA a number of years, and he was asking me for suggestions on which route to take to get to the meeting he was going to. It is soooooo LA/SoCal.

THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS is in an interview Bill Hader talked about Fred making him break the most. He cited this sketch as one of those moments. I was talking to my boyfriend, who lives near L.A., and yes...the whole thing about the freeways is very real. haha! I hadn't noticed it before until I saw these videos. To quote Homer Simpson..."It's funny because it's true."

The “everyone is a directional expert” is the funniest part. Everyone in LA does that. Lol

The scary part is people might think you're joking. This is a real thing.

19:09 is the funniest thing SNL has ever allowed to happen on their stage. Bless Fred and his silliness.

A student in Texas said she couldn't understand my So Cal accent. I thought she was clueless until I saw this. OMG. I cannot really sound like this, right??

I once said "hella" in front of this girl I met at college and she goes "ah'ya frahtha bayyeee ahhrrea?" And it took me like 10 minutes to figure out she was asking if I was from the bay area. It's not far off from some of the extreme Cali accents

Lol as with any parody, ofcourse its an exaggeration. I mean I'm from NJ and everyone constantly butchers our accent and makes it like an exaggerated Brooklyn accent or whatever but yet I dont know anyone who actually talks like that... unless I'm just totally delusional and cant hear it

As a Californian, I feel that this grievous stereotyping is completely... fair.

Been reading _The Shards_ by Bret Easton Ellis, and can't stop thinking of this sketch every time he describes what roads they took in LA in unnecessary detail.
