This car has one on its own so that's why you have to make sure that your car comes with the this function from Factory the best way to check is calling to the dealership give them the last eight numbers of your car Vin number and they will be able to tell you if this car comes with this function I hope this information works for you otherwise let me know and see if I can help you out different way thank for watching..

I was trying to take it to a locksmith and have the person to program it to the car. The locks worked after I change the fuse on the front of the car when I open the hood. All three work, lock and unlock when I press the button( on passenger side not driver side). The only one that don't work is the driver side. Is that the reason why it did not work after programming it with the remote? I want to purchase this but I don't want to purchase it and it still don't work. In order to program the remote to the car ,do all locks got to work for me to have this remote ?

Yes, only if you have the remote start option ,now all the locks are independent so even if they don't work right now the important thing is do the programming correctly ..

You need to buy the programmer tool or take the car to the diler ship to reprogramming the remote your choice ...

Does your car have the check engine light on? if it does take to any auto parts store to plug in a obd2 reader to get a better diagnostic butt Sounds like the crankshaft position sensor it's not working properly check if this sensor is not loose or if the pigtail at the sensor is connected properly if it looks like everything is connected properly try to replace the sensor .

would you be willing to open up the programmer and see how it’s wired? i bet it just connects two ports. i’m super ticked they make this harder than a jumper wire just so they can make money.

There's more to it than that. The ODB2 box emulates the computer that a service tech would have to hook up to in order to program these remotes at the dealership. While this kit is a little pricey, I want to say the dealer quoted me about $200 to program a new remote.

Yeah I don't know about that one . That's why you have to make sure that your car comes with remote start option from factory I only personally tried on a 2008 Saturn Aura but thanks for comment

Obviously you have the correct control (5 buttons) the control you have is the one that came from factory?, If for some reason, you don't know if this car comes with remote start option , call the Chevy Dealer give them the vin number of your car and they will able to check if your car has these options. If the car has these options, I recommend buying a new one with the programming tool about ($80) other ways you will pay a lot more at the dealership for the control, such as ($ 115) plus the programming ($ 120), of course that depends on where you live, but this is an estimate that I grab from the area where I live last year. Check the link below and follow the instructions it's really easy to reprogram only takes like 3min if you have any questions please let me know thanks for watching..
