I was always so careful. Kept my drink in front of me, never left it alone, held it to my chest while dancing, if someone bought me a drink I went with them to the bar. Even with all of that I was still drugged three times. I am really thankful that I know my body so well that as soon as I started feeling wrong I could tell my friends so we could leave.

@@calebh373 Yeah, I understand where u r coming from. But in my culture(an East african living in a very old fashioned community) this is the norm and expected. Even being too educated for a woman is something that hurts my value in the marriage market. Thank you for singing this out loud. There are or have been secret rules for us girls/ladies. Like look good, smell always nice, be shaved, wear your Make-up like a queen and for that we awakened hours earlier cause we feared that if we didn't take these precautions we would get left out. Or just straight up ignored. The tall Men only rule, what bs lurked in my head, like how are we all into this? And sacrifice our own needs so that everyone around us feels great except us most of the time.. Yes and smile the shit out of this world cause a mad face would get you called a Bitch. Awesome.

I don't know what's in her voice but it make me fall in love with the song, and beat drop just gives me chills down my bones. Moreover, I became a fan of her with just this one song. I guess this is what LOVE AT FIRST SONG is called! Additionally I like the minimal editing, a lot of people make their lyric video so animative you could barely read anything, this on the other hand is very minimal, yet beautiful, and the sound quality is just fire! So here's a chemical equation to sum it all up: The lyrics+ The vocals+ The beat drop+ The editing = HEAVEN!

Listening to this just had my whole life flash in my mind all the way until now. Married with three kids, to a "nice man" (he's actually the nicest good hearted man that I've ever known) and yet I find out is deep down still a man who wants exactly what this song describes from a woman. I'm not saying this is every man, just what I've experienced in my life. Used up and no longer perfect, and he finds his fantasy elsewhere until I perfect myself and become the lovely shell of a person he desires again. I can always reel them back in, at the cost of myself. Every man, genuinely nice or not. Never changes or works for you, but you always have to for them or be alone. Maybe it's better to be alone.

Not to mention the abuse from past relationships, or friendships of men who want more from you. Physical abuse, rape, emotional, and verbal abuse...because to them you're expendable.
