Appreciate Sauconys commitment to not making marshmallow-y, energy sapping shoes. The Triumph 20 and Ride 17 are the perfect goldilocks shoes for me even if they can come off as "boring"

Great to have you back Emily and that you are recovering well. Interesting what you say about walking in running shoes, I found the Hoka Gaviota 5 a better walking shoe than running!

Firstly, good to see you back, Emily! & wishing you well on your IVF journey. Another excellent video by the way. I love the fact that your videos are easy to follow, they’re not packed with lots of technical jargon, but most of all, you come over as very personable/highly relatable. I’m a heavier runner so max. cushioned shoes really appeal to me. I’ll definitely be looking to pick up a pair of the Triumph 22’s off the back of your review. Thanks for all that you do! 🙌🏻

i've been running in T22 the last couple of weeks and i really like this shoe. The amount of stability, cushioning and fit makes it my go to on a daily basis. I actually feel like it could be somehow of a speed shoe aswell. the carbon-shoe speed of course not but my tempo in these shoes are really good. the foam is definitly doing something. love my new T22 and thanks for a good review

Good to see you back Emily. I’m 200 miles into my 2nd pair of 20’s and they remain my favourite shoe since the Nike lunarglide ( Ahhhhh) all those years ago. There’s some teething issues with the new direction saucony have taken 22 in but I’m sure they’ll be ironed out in the next couple of versions so im not prepared to shell out the £170 they’re asking for them here in the UK until they do and in the meantime I’ll stock up on the discounted 20 or 21 while they’re still around. 😉

I have 16 mile race 10 percent one 40 percent, like gravel 50 single track in Kanwha Sate forest on January 4th in West Virgina, so I'm glad it is a hot shoe. I got THE GTX version for the water proofing and the comfy ride since I have alot nerve problems with my feet, will let tou guys k ow how it goes thanks for the review.

Welcome back. I know what you went through. My wife did a cycle and it's rough. We know have two amazing 8 year olds. ❤❤❤ I skipped the 21 but I really like the 20. The older version was versatile. It seems like the 22 is more of a recovery/comfort shoe. The upper also looks brutally warm in humid summer NYC conditions.

Thanks for sharing that with me ♥️ I appreciate the support! And yes, the upper can definitely be brutally warm lol

Saucony dififirencite the Triumph 22 and the Ride 17. Earlier, the Triumph 21 and Ride 17 were too similar. I guess who loved the old Triumph 20&21 should go with the Saucony Ride 17 now for a more nimble and versatile running shoes.

Welcome back! As of today, do you have any favorites for an easy day/speed day shoe outside of the Supercomp v2? I’ve been looking and it’s just way too many shoes out there for me to decide.
@RunLikeHeller4 ай бұрын
It might sound crazy but I liked the Hoka Cielo x1 for both my easy and speed days. Also the endorphin speed 4!
@muscfiorentina4 ай бұрын
Did they roll in some of the things from the Endorphin Shift to the Triumph 22.? I loved the shift (I had 10 pairs) it was my every day shoe. I’m looking to replace that shoe.
@thomasn12794 ай бұрын
It definitely feels like they transition the Shift to the Triumph 22. The Triumph 22 is softer and more responsive than the Shift but the running experience is quite similar.

I have the Triumph 22 and I really like the foam. I find the upper to be too well built and the shoe a bit too big. I wish that they had made it a bit lighter and leaner. I will keep running in it because there are things that I really do like about it.
@Frichilsasta0818 күн бұрын
What's the cushion like? The midsole is mushy amd best for slow or is it firmer...I'm looking to see how it compares to other shoes
@torontocitizen680218 күн бұрын
@@Frichilsasta08 I found the foam to be getting softer as I have put some kilometres on them. I only use them for my easy runs and they were the only shoes I could wear when I was injured. I can’t imagine doing strides in the Triumph 22, but I can wear them on an easy run all day long.

I am wondering about that power run formulation from what others are saying. I had to go to Jami’s archives to refresh my memory.., but Saucony has messed up the formulation before of the triumph, about 5 years ago.., so much so, they totally change everything in the next years edition (because they had a certified brick), we will see. I will wait for more reviews
