I agree 100% on the thermal cycling. I’m 52 & last year on my solo ski adventure. First day did 8042’ & 2nd day 6,369 one run from 13,000 ft at Loveland. Was really feeling it. So I did a recovery day 175* sauna 20min w/6min cold plunge then 30&6 was restored. Hit winter park skied 17,532’ /20.8 miles. (When i was cooked & ready to go home went down the wrong area. 1hr & 3 lifts later I was back at my truck!! Was the most exhausted. Did the did two round 30& 6min the next morning before the 12.5 hr. Drive back to IL was crazy low back never bothered me on the drive home & my legs felt fine!!! (I had only been doing cold plunge up to that point!!)

My family and I rented a cabin in the Rocky Mountains of Canada and they had a full wellness set up… walk out basement that takes you to the sauna in the woods, right across the walking path is the ice bath and just up a bit closer to the house was the hot tub. It was the best setup I’ve seen in the woods and it’s become a goal to have a setup like that full time at my next place. Only thing I wish it had was a red light bed All of these things together are the perfect combo for mood and therapy, overall wellness in general!

I did my first contrast therapy before flying out on a long international flight this week and it really did make a difference BEFORE, now that I am in Europe I’m looking for my sauna and cold plunge options, and hope to do a few before returning home and getting back to the routine! I do sauna, I do cold plunge, now I will do them back to back more and more! Thanks for the video bro!

I’m about to purchase a traditional outdoor sauna and cold plunge. Good timing on the video 👌🏻

You're the best brother! I know we can't go from extreme heat to extreme cold in seconds 😫. Should we wait a minute or 2? Thanks for all you do.

Doesn’t the sauna mess up your garmin battery over time? I want to track my sessions but don’t want to kill my expensive garmin…

you could use an armband or chest strap HR, and keep your watch outside of the sauna? personally I take my garmin 245 semi-regularly into the sauna and haven't had any issues with battery life after a few years doing so.

That is why I really only use a Garmin now. The Iwatch Ultra would glitch out, and anything else had a similar story, except this Garmin Fenix 7. I dont want to get anything else (Not even the 8) because of just how durable this has been. I use it every day in any temp and no issues at all.

I have been doing contrast therapy daily for 2 months now and it’s great! Also, most of the Norway studies on how the sauna reduces cardiovascular disease have been done with a traditional sauna. There have not been many studies with inferred. I also have had both and prefer the traditional because of the intensity and being able to sweat faster.

I’ll do ya one better. Sun Stream Saunas are the best, I’m debating the Cold plunge all in 1 or this one, and lastly already have the hot tub. I’m all in on diet, exercise the medicine if needed. You gotta add long sessions in the hot tub in addition to all you do!
