My husband is British and has been making this for our family for 20 yrs now. Suggestion from my hubby, he says to use Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage instead of breakfast sausage and to use herb stuffing mix instead of all the other ingredients just for the simplicity of things. He also fills sausage to the very ends lol. These have become a staple of our holidays. Our family loves them and asks for them every year.

Catherine, we have a finger-food night every New Year's Eve. It's a 30-year tradition at this point.

Sausage rolls are really popular in my neck of the woods Southern Ontario, Canada. You see them in small bakeries and butcher shops. People take pride in their individual homemade recipes. I make them using plain ground pork and add homemade cajun seasoning.

From Tasmania - make these quite often - use sausage mince, parsley, finely chopped brown (yellow) onion, white pepper & fresh chopped parsley.

Looks great! If I was making these for breakfast, I would use sausage gravy as a dipping sauce!
