As an older guy (68) I appreciate real wood stocks with a nice grain showing. It just adds to the artistry of firearm manufacture and adds Soul to the individual rifle. While I understand Corporate motivation for enhancing profits, I think it is a mistake in the big picture.

Savage should redesign the A22 and B22 to accept ruger magazines.
@thedinosaurking15325 ай бұрын
There are already a bunch of other rifles that use 10/22 magazines. Bergara, Springfield, Thompson Center, Etc. Heck, Ruger's own PC carbine takes Glock mags. I wouldn't say manufacturers are on their own. I just think it would be a smart business move to make the Savage A and B series rifles instantly more accessible to all the masses of people who already have a bunch of 10/22 magazines.

I often found the SK ammo random lots off the shelf to be as good or a tiny bit better than similarly random Eley Black box as well as the 10X version. Now, tested lots, from companions at the range, sometimes find super lots of Eley that are virtually impossible to beat. Both Black box and 10X. But what you show here says a LOT about both the mechanics behind the trigger as well as this new rifle's ability to tame the high velocity stuff. That will mean sales by the thousands to the everyday shooter. Really good testing today. Your content in rimfire is second to none!!

But if it's a Savage B series will it reliably extract/eject CCI Standard Velocity? My Savage B22 Precision Lite is on its' way back to Savage after they've been unable to get it to consistently run by sending me replacement cartridge guide, extractor, and extractor springs. Per google it seems to be a quite common problem with the B series. Most disappointing Savage I've ever owned.

Check your scope and mounts. Something might be loose there. Also 22s are notoriously finicky about bedding tension. Get a good inch pound torque wrench and play with that. Ammunition selection can also be problematic.
