90s Moominmama had her moments though, she was sweet, but clever with her more neurotic or mean spirited counterparts. She got people to do things without them realizing it. 90s Moominpapa is just a master of b.s. like when he randomly asks if centipedes come from the moon and convinces everyone at the table they must.

In the comics, I think she actually does dump dirt in Mrs Fillyjonk’s house (not on her, tho). She’s definitely got a lot of sass in the comics, unlike in the books I’ve read so far. Like, in Moomins on the Riviera, Snorkmaiden says “Moomin is going to duel with my boyfriend! Isn’t it romantic?” (And that’s “ romantic” as in “adventurous, mysterious, exciting”), and Moominmamma replies “That’s what _you_ think, dear.”.

aww I love the 90s mamma too, she's so lovely and welcoming to anyone, always wanting to make others happy and not asking for much - or even anything - in return, and wiling to do anything to look after her family. She's so nice to everyone unless they're a threat to her family and I really respect that, and there are little moments that show she can be pretty sassy now and again. I guess I just love both versions hahah.
