Savage vs Thompson Center 7mm rem mags

I'm surprised the groups aren't bigger. Pencil thin barrels. Huge cartridge. Those barrels are hot enough to cook bacon after 3 rounds. That being said I have 2 tc dimensions. A 243 an 7RM. And 2 savages. 22-250 and 308. The savages have heavy barrels and will rip 1 hole 5 shot groups. The dimensions with tuned handloads print 5/8moa consistently. Both are great brands and extremely consistent and accurate. For the price they are both great value

The groups are not accurately circled. If u screenshot the first groups then compare to end groups. u will see Savage didn't have two touching. TC looks to have grouped better overall.

Correct. Can't remember on the Savage, but the TC groups definitely are not circled properly at the end.

They say both of the guns are 7 mm Remington Magnum noticed the action on the Thompson Center compared to the Savage. Plus Thompson Center the biggest caliber they made for their Predator models which was fully camouflage with their own scope on it camouflaged the biggest caliber was 308 all of their Predator models was short actions not 7 mm Remington Magnum which is a long action like a 270 or 30 ought 6 pay close attention to the actions on the guns

Look about even, but might I suggest finding the ammo that each gun likes. I say this because each gun always likes one ammo above all others even if it would be from the same manufacturer.

Not being mean guys but yall might want to get new scopes or something I put 5 shot groupings withing an inch with my 7 mag and 6.5 creedmore all day, on a thompson weathershield platform like I said not being mean just an observance

Corey Johnson I have 3 T/C Ventures n they all shoot an inch or under too. 204 Ruger, 7mm-08 n a 300 WSM

At a hundred the wind would have had to been hurricane force to effect the 7 mag to throw them as such. Off a sled and yall couldn't get them to perform any better, gotta be the gun , you think? I've shot the 7 mag for 40 years out of two different rifles a weatherby vanguard and a ruger 77. WV wood stock recoil lug glass bedded, ruger factory boat paddle stock weatherby scope on WV and nikon on ruger and got sub min angle from both with factory and handloads.
