It’s is even for a tablet. I really want an iPad but the storage at 64 gig is not ganna last you a year. And it’s gets expensive more storage. At least with Samsung I can expand to 1Tb so I can edit photos a for years

I get a better, bigger screen than any ipad(except 12.9 inch pro but that would be literally $700 more expensive), better battery life, and more features in general. The tablet not being in the same ecosystem as everything else is a lot less problematic than it seems

Honestly, if you have the money, tab s9 is a no-brainer considering all the other costs associated with getting the ipad. But honestly, in terms to money perspective even if its really good, s9 is extremely expensive, too much to spend for a tablet. Maybe the tab s8 could be a good buy if found for cheap. 8 gen 2 on tab s9 is an absolute beast in terms of raw power and efficiency.

Funnily enough the iPad is only slightly more expensive in the UK if you get the Apple Pencil with it. iPad Air 5 is cheaper than the tab from £669/$811.76 while the Galaxy Tab S9 is from £799/$969.46. Of course if you include an Apple Pencil 2 the price of that is £139/$168 so in total £808/$980 slightly more than the Tab S9 which already includes an S Pen. They’re roughly the same price if you include the pencil with only a £9/$10.93 difference.

Actually, the iPad air is more expensive as it comes in 64gb base. Upgrading to 256gb with Apple Pencil gen 2 sums up higher than tab s9 256gb the only downside is the M1 chip is better than the Snapdragon gen 2 but tab s9 has almost 2x battery life and has 12 instead of 8gb (which he mistakenly mentioned as 4gb) of RAM with an SD card slot.

ipad os brings no advantage to your life if you dont have an iphone, mac, basically deep in the apple ecosystem. For just note-taking, pad 6 should be more than good enough. Day to day performance should also be insane with that really good and efficient soc. People will always rave about how much the apps are better on ipados and how optimized it is compared to android, but have you ever seen a video specifically comparing them, instead of the youtubers just saying its better?

Go for older s tabs like s7 plus. Amoled display is excellent. Free pen and note taking is excellent in samsung tab compared to xiaomi.

I love the screen of my iPad Air 5 despite the fact it's not technically "advanced". Perhaps it has to do with the true tone feature. I love also the combination of Procreate with the Apple pencil 2. You can do everything with the iPad. Save your money.

The iphones and android phones that do not run the m1 chip still maxes out fps in every single mobile game available, so no, its not further ahead. Snapdraon 8 gen 2 is also a lot more stable than even the 15 pro max. Only for video editing, its a total whitewash for the m1, its not even close. But then again, does anyone even use ipads to edit videos?? Like full on editing 4k video, on its shitty OS. A macbook or a desktop is wayy better at that. For day to day use like video consumption, note taking the better screen on the samsung makes it better than the ipad air (real world use, not just benchmarks and numbers).

PLEASE if you are going to buy an iPad DO NOT buy the iPad air 5. Mine bend on it's on after about 9 months of use. Once we took it to the store they told us that the insurance won't cover it and that the bending is quite common in iPad air 5. there was also another costume complaining from the same issue she said her iPad air 5 bend after 5 months of use . It also cracks easily once it fell from less than the height of one meter and cracked instantly . Also heated up often . Now after little over one year of use I am searching for another tablet because it's completely unusable

One thing nobody mentions: The "desktop" experience with Ipad is ¡terrible! I cannot stressed it enough, ¡terrible!. If you are a heavy note taker, good luck with the iPad Air base model: It freezes down, it runs out of memory, and at a given point it starts to erase what you are writing down, etc. Terrible experience. Even my note taking experience is 10000 times better using my old Note 9. No more Apple to me, it is just branding.
