(that's a lot of cool candidates) I await every episode with anticipation, and I always feel like I'm riding along with you and your friends in spirit. You are an inspiration, and I know I'm not alone when I say I appreciate your intrepid enthusiasm, your positive attitude, and the kindness you show toward everyone you meet (especially "Mira") Every single episode is a treat. Thank you, and Keep On Trek'in, bro.

I have had so much road magic bike touring. One of my favorite stories is from my cross country ride in 1995. I had a stick get in my derailleur in the middle of Oklahoma and it completely broke. While I was fixing(I was going to ride single speed to the next town) a guy in a pickup truck stopped and asked if I needed some help. We threw my bike in the back of his pickup truck. His family was ranchers and he was on summer break from Oklahoma State and was headed back to Stillwater to celebrate one of his best friends birthdays. We got my to a shop and got a new rear derailleur and he invited me to stay the night and go out to the birthday party. The party was at a huge country music dance bar and never have I had so much fun with the nicest people I had ever met. Even though I looked way out of place in flip flops, long hair and shorts (they were all dressed up in wranglers, cowboy hats and shiny cowboy boots) they couldn’t have been more accepting and interested in my journey. What a great 12 hours that was. Got back on the road the next day and kept trucking.

You are quite lucky! The white buffalo is sacred or wakhan among the plains indigenous tribes. The White Buffalo Calf Woman brought the sacred rituals to the Lakota Sioux of which the last one is soul keeping. Symbolic of how everything, plants, animals, humans, the four directions, air, water, earth, are all linked inexorably to the “cycle” of life. The lettuce sushi on the other hand...
