Hey I just doing your new scout thing with youth national teams. After certain point I discovered that players with agents is good in terms of potential. So I went through some other national teams to confirm my hypothesis. And I think it is very very accurate. It is very time saving if you have relatively less scout like me.

That Dunfermline save speaks to me. My current save is Aberdeen and I'm winning the league and domestic cups every year with no problem, but I've only made it to the CL knockout stages once, where I lost 3-2 to Liverpool in the first round (with the on loan Harvey Elliot missing a 90th minute sitter!) It's such a big gap from the Scottish league to the CL. The big European clubs spend my entire wage budget on a single player (£350k p/w).

Should try mine I started with Lokomotiv Gomel on day one, 12 seasons in I’ve managed to somehow win the europa league and I’m a quarter finalist in the champs league. Great advice on the last save! Not my save, but I am in a similar situation with Varzim in Portugal, where I scratch the surface of European cups, but cannot advance further. The guy with Stade de Reims, good luck. I manage in France and if I lose 3 games the whole season, I lose the title. I am on the new database with Bordeaux (starting in Ligue 2) and I won 7 consecutive Ligue 1 titles and 4 CLs in 16 years. A few tips from me: 1. France will always have 3-4 world beaters. Scout the youngsters that seem good on the youth intake. Go to their U19 team and scout the players that have decent attributes for 16 years old. My GK, RB and ST are worth a combined 450 mil and I got them for a combined 8.2 mil. They are all French, the GK and ST came from a Ligue 2 side. 2. Do not spend big on youngsters that are not exceptionally good until you are the 2nd best team. Don't avoid buying players that are 27-28 years old. I won my first league title having 0 newgens in the team. The team was Livakovic - Dagba, Sutalo, Scalvini, Balde - Caqueret, Reider, Pobega - Almanda - Mateta, Beto (Just to give you some ideas of players) 3. Be patient. You need to be able to beat PSG in at least 1 of the 2 matches to have a chance on winning the title.

I had a similar experience on the Caledonian Braves. You get a lot of competitions until I eventually got my second team to be in either the championship. Then the game reset. He must be using a custom league and as you progress up, the competitions remain and your second and youth teams play in them.

Guess that Dunfermline save is where i've been before. It depends on what idea for the save i've had. Is it just winning the CL or is it building the league. Left my starting club after 13 years and three consecutive CL wins which is one of my basic rules of FM. I'm now eight years further and they won the league seven more times before the players just got old. Winning everything is just not for me, it's the way to the top which keeps me going. But is your goal to build league, it's basically tank through this phase and never leave the club or the next AI Manager will destroy your team in just a year.

I think zealand overlook the caley braves problem. I found most teams if your board is bad enough to accept offer on top of you, then there is usually no chance you can bring the players to the next level. This happened to me even when I have 40-60m in the bank, the board still sells wonderkids for less than half of the expected price. I had to find a new team in the end.

i found a cool way to find prospects is when your youth intake happens go round all the big leagues look at their reserves or wtv then sort by age and contract if you have a 16 year old at bayern munich as a hot prospect 9 times out of ten hes gonna be a beast

You've missed a tips when playing in France : SCOUT AFRICA! Half of the players there are considered european by France. You have less competition to sign them than anywhere else and it's easier to retain them.

You never talk about next sale clauses. I try to get as high as possible. Often you can call on them for quick cash by selling the clauses. Try to avoid % of profit. You end up with very little usually

Board selling your best player hurts bad. Was on a 12 game winning streak, and about to get my first title. Then the board sells my star CB, and I win only 1 of my last 7 games, thus finishing second. Next season, I got two star strikers. One gets injured for 4 months, and the other is sold by the board. So now I am on course to not get the title again. The transfer revenue percentage is only 35%, so I can't replace him. Its an actual nightmare.

I nearly quit a game last night after my Middlesbrough team (started unemployed and took over at the end of oct 21 in the game) decided to loose the first leg of our play off semi 4-0 to Sheffield United. This after 7 straight wins and 13 unbeaten. What the fud did I do wrong? I did put some training in the week before rather than resting the team for the week. I guess this is to blame, but any help as to why a team I dragged from 12th up to 3rd failed to turn up when it mattered will be a huge help.

Hi I can't find the answer to this anywhere: I am in the last season of my contract after 10 years with Leeds and I move to be Juventus manager in the summer. Everything going great and I was 5th but then suddenly I have no control over player signings and loans and one of my star youngsters who has just gotten in the first team and started scoring a lot has been loaned out and I had no control over it. Is this a normal thing that happens when yiur contract is expiring?? I had no idea this would happen and it has pretty much ruined my season because I went into a 6 game no win streak and the board keep loaning players out for no reason. Also the loans I would like to make I can't and players are pissed off that I am not loaning or selling them but it is the board not me. Very annoying.

How do you get around England's work permits when scouting for wonderkids in South America as a lower level team with no affiliates etc? I just basically scout England, Ireland and Scotland at this point because any young player I find from anywhere else it basically says they wouldn't be able to get a work permit. Also only have 6 scouts and board won't approve extending range beyond continent of Europe. Any help would be appreciated.

argentina has more reasonable prices and those players have a decent shot to qualify. Another option is to sign a player who looks good and try to get him loaned over a couple of years to teams in the low countries or france. if they get enough playing time in those leagues you may have a shot. Also big clubs just dump a ton of decent players for L1 and L2 every june, i would just pick them up. Also for europe try, loading in bulgaria, and poland and czech. then loan those players to a top 5 league club for playing time.

I think Zealand would love my save, its a large DB journeyman save with the objective of arriving at my club, Fiorentina and taking them to a treble. I'm 8 years in have most of my qualifications and might get promoted to Serie A this year with Gubbio, a team that was in the third division (Serie C) in the game at the time I joined, tand in lower divisions when the game began. My journey started in the Icelandic Second division, where I got promoted and narrowly missed Conference League play via the Icelandic cup in my first season with Protur Rekjavick, and led them to a comfortable stay up in the first division the second year. Then moved Verl (3.Bundesliga at the time I joined) where I reached objectives, but financial restraints and the boards objection to my coaching badges forced me to leave to and join my current club. In my first Season we won the division with the 2nd lowest budget, in the second we comfortably stayed in Serie B without risking relegation despite having by far the lowest budget. Now in my third season, 5 games away from 2nd place in Serie B and direct promotion to Serie A.
