Hi Geoffrey. Thanks for posting this and all of the great information that you’ve shared. If at all possible, I have a burning question that I’d like you in particular to give input to. Marriage 16 years with children and given divorce papers last year. Substance abuse problems for us both the entire relationship but on and off. I moved out last August yet she keeps asking me for favors around the house, and infrequently comes on to me to massage her. She even let me pay her for a sexual favor. Given this brief context, does it seem like she’s just a manipulator who wants to use me and keep me controlled? Or do you see a silver lining? I’m ok if you’re too busy to answer this but I value your opinion more than most.

So sad I missed this! I would've loved to speak. I used to be exactly how Maddie was, and now I hear him and hope he can have that "wake up" moment and surrender to the process. Spoke to my partner for two hours yesterday and she was letting me have the tough truths. It was awesome haha!

I love this, work on your product before worrying about your advertising! I feel like this resembles the paradigm tech companies use when releasing a new product, they hype it up with adds that include things that are still be implemented in the product. When consumers purchase the product they realize that the product is not how it was advertised, and decide to move on. Likewise our partners may make the same decision if we do not work on our product, the same way the tech companies must push forward to improve their product. Attempting to solve this with more advertisement may create many false reconciliations, but the customer will never stick especially when other products are available. Only when your product is 10x the other products will the customers start to stick. Even then, due to the numerous false advertisement campaigns, it will be harder to re-establish safety with this person and to get their attention again. But with an ever improving product they will eventually notice, and begin to regain interest. Great lesson.
