You made Grandpa's day!! Thanks guys. His good word of the day," Lumber is only as good as the Sawyer" It takes a special Sawyer to run a circular mill forget the naysayers, sometimes you need to make stop signs. You need to edge them probably but it will be a lot less to edge.

Are there any species of wood that dull the bits faster than others, or are they mostly equal?
@markgalicic778814 күн бұрын
yes if you saw hickory it will dull the saw faster than any wood I know.
@marcchatterson-xq7qt3 күн бұрын
When we saw hickory we will saw 3 or 4 poplar to clean the wood gum off the saw. We will do it with ash also it really helps with how the saw performs especially when it’s time to sharpen after cutting the poplar. You can feel it in the handle for the carriage just how much smoother your saw is cutting

Happy belated Mother's day first of all, and as usual here is something for the occasion. MOTHER M-Maternal O-Observant T-Tender H-Humble E-Enjoyable R-Resourceful To my mother here on Earth I place you above all all others. You gave me life and with the guidance of your gentle ways and firm but soft hand guided and molded me into the person that I am. For me though you are gone from me in this this world you will live in my memory for all time. For those whom still have their mother, respect and revere her like no other as she have given you so much and at such a high cost because her freedom, her personal life she willingly lost to have you, to love you and make you who you are and to hold you dear whether you are near or away so far. On this day tell her that you love her with all of your heart and soul.
