Crazy how a sawyer likes watching a sawyer work. I work my ass off for every board that comes off my little ,all manual 25 year old band mill. That old Honda engine lites off with the first pull on the string every time still, even after sitting for months. In the process of thinning my wood land down now, about 4 more acres of large poplar, oak, pine maple to harvest. Got a large pecan log from a client and ran into a railroad spike buried deep in it,another $40 blade down the drain. Thanks Mark

On saturday I count on your northern neighbor finishing a 60 plymouth fury that had rotted up to the door handles and some one said; No one could ever fix that and like installment fifty or close he has spliced three other car bodies and used the dodge under frame (unibody) so by the way even tho close cousins, some major differences... and now in primer with the windshield just fitted on the last instalment its assembly and finish paint. Scott is a master of bodywork and just a pleasure to watch! A couple others are hit or miss and a tornado blowing down their necks (also where my ex lives)I don't think we could get far enough away and still hold dear the mother of my kids. I watch farming, car building, homesteading, rebuilding abandoned mansions and there is a reason people walk away but then someone with more money than brains but good entertainer and now pushing four hundred thousand subs in one year but like I said, a great entertainer so maybe youtube will wind up paying for it/LOL. your usually my wednesday so I have different tastes for different days and really count on them since I can't walk but maybe by march or april put feet on the ground again and I said feet, not foot as I was so worried about. (fingers crossed but not putting faith in doctors as when they make a mistake they say oops.) I was a mechanic and built a lot of detroits but the mind being a terrible thing to waste is the first to go/LOL, I have seen my share of the world in 72 years and could tell a story or two about tipping logging trucks over or sinking my service truck in a hundred fifty feet of salt water. Thats a long one and very tragic ending, buried all my family now so figure what the hell, I must be the reporter to hell or heaven, never real sure on that one. Good luck on the finish of that wall as I think it will be much easier to video... reminds me to say maybe you can put a motion detector on the camera to the carriage some way... food for thought so have a great one

Another excellent video! - a couple of suggestions though. One build a soundproof box around your most excellent bus motor - it is VERY loud when it's working flat out. Second how about getting rid of the 'glass' around your operating station - the reflections make it hard to see what is going on a lot of the time. Perhaps even remove the cabin altogether now that the new shed protects you from the worst of the weather.

Have you considered perhaps occasionally running the sawing portion with voice-over explaining the action and the decision making that goes into creating lumber from logs as well as the nomenclature of your setup and the in's and out's of its operation in general? You use jargon that tinhorns like me maybe aren't quite certain of. How do you size up a log? What sort of defect or oddities can the sawyer or the machine make use of or work around? What's the difference between logs and types of wood. That sort of thing. And when are the t-shirts and hats gonna be available?
