Nice and square my man! We never fail just might take longer to accomplish. I remember cutting that one up. Good show boys!

George I was setting here watching you mill that little ole log and noticed you forgot the toe board, I was trying to warn you but…… I think you just joined the The old man and the saw club… but don’t feel bad we all have done it… other than that good job.

I just found out when you buy an LT40 wide it now comes with an old man! That's even better than hydraulics!

FYI Often you battle dimensional variation in timber framing. Unless you are getting consistent perfectly milled beams, you may wish to use a reduction in your joinery with the wild side protruding into a space where it doesn’t matter.
@mcsawmillАй бұрын
@@devmeistersuperprecision4155 I'm just learning timber framing so do my best to make each to size.
@devmeistersuperprecision4155Ай бұрын
@@mcsawmill some beams were hacked out with broad axes! If you have an 8x10 tie beam that is off like yours was, that’s OK! The shack is 12 feet wide so load numbers are good. By using a reduction, you let that offset hang down while your tie beam tennon or half dovetail tennon is the same size from the opposing datum plane. No one will see the difference and bothe tie beams will be interchangeable.

Boy, George, (thankfully you don't look like Boy George) how could you leave the toe board up? You don't see ME doing that..............at least recently. Too bad there isn't a market for REALLY BIG wedges. Good job on maxing out the yield from that very ugly log. Dave
