As a Zoro fan, it's sad to watch how little respect so many people have for Sanji for not being a 1 dimensional character. In case we forgot Zoro cried after getting his ass handed to him by Mihawk. But it's okay cuz he's badass. Sanji got kidnapped, beaten, emotionally abused and everytime he tried to fight back they'd threaten the life of the people he loved, who raised him and made his life bareable. Baeju, the ONE member of his actual family who cared about him is beaten and bleeding in front of him. And his one spark of hope, Pudding, in his currently shitty life was basically manipulating him the whole time. Then to tie it all together, because apparently you guys weren't looking, when he went to do something as simple as have a cigarette, it wouldn't light because of the rain. As someone who's been In a fucked up situation before and know what it's like to feel like everything and everyone is just working against you, I know how the man feels. Clearly a good chunk of you don't.

Remember when the Knox Pirates got 100 years Big Mom went for the subordinate first then the captain. Potentially if Jinbei landed on a 1,000 years that would wipe out the Fisherman Pirates before she even got to him. So Jinbei pleaded with her and decided to stay in exchange for their lives. That's why the rumors of him being a coward have been circulating.

Him breaking down and moving on from this scenario is a huge development for his character. But it turns out that the Big mom crew lied to him and are planning on killing all of them.
