Chopper's decline and eventual waste of potential is the only issue I have with Oda. Pre-timeskip he was fine. I think he could have been closer to the monster trio like Franky and Robin, but still fine. His jumping point rivaled sanji's agility for crying out loud. Post-timeskip he had all the hype going for him in that he could transform normally w/o Rumble balls and only needed one for monster point which he could now control. What did we get afterwards? A pussy that's gotten fodderized since fishman island smh. Oda needs to have him evaluate himself/get a wake-up call and learn armament haki as a fucking melee fighter

Katakuri is punking Luffy outside of G4th. Personally, i just hope Luffy's efinity with Observation Haki kicks up a notch in this fight. Power / speed aside, he won't be able to do shit if he doesn't do something about Katakuri's foresight in the first place. Show less *REMINDER* : Stop taking power scaling so seriously, by the 0.1%. One Piece fights are not a math problem, or worse, DBZ / DBS kind of fights. Strategy, technique and Will play a big role in this Manga just as much as raw power and speed do. Luffy is straight up outclassed here, but he Learns mid fight cause he's a genius. Ofc if he were to lose that'd be realistic, but it would be far from being an asspull if he managed to win.

I made a theory last week on a forum and I stated that It will be either a draw or the fight will get interrupted. In the theory I wrote that Luffy cannot be TKO'd OR KO'd because it would then take him too many chapters to wake up, escape the enemies that imprison him, get sanji etc and the editors already said we should get Wano in 2017... ALTHOUGH we may not, they said this with the impression that WCI isn't going to last too long, so Luffy won't be TKO'd,KO'd or imprisoned. It will most likley be interrupted.

Sawyer, Why are you stuck on only 1 type of Awakening for Luffy? Just because Doffy's awakening could change his surroundings to strings doesn't mean Luffy's will do the same. Doffy was a different subtype of paramecia from Luffy. Edit: also, Katakuri's mochi is only similar to Luffy's rubber in terms of stretchiness. He can't copy Luffy's elasticity because mochi isn't elastic (bouncy). It can split and break apart though, which is my thoughts on what gives Katakuri's his logia-like body.

What is Jimbei's role on the crew? Most of the crew are devil fruit eaters. They cannot fight in the water and if a devil fruit eater falls in the water, atm only sanji, nami and usopp can help them. Jimbei being a fishman has the advantage in the water which is a massive boon for the crew.

The main difference between rubber and mochi is that rubber is more elastic, like a spring, while mochi mainly just stretches. So, I doubt Katakuri can use the red hawk since that relies on luffy's elasticity, nor will he be able to copy gear fourth exactly. He might put his own different spin on it though if he does try to do something similar.
