Life’s stressors can easily push all of us into a CONSTANT state of fight or flight… but there’s a way out!
Living in fight-or-flight mode can wear down your body, leading to long-term health issues like anxiety, depression, and chronic disease. There’s a science behind why exactly this happens, and there are many practices that can get you out of this and ignite full and limitless healing.
In this week’s episode of MBTV, I’ll share the importance of activating your parasympathetic nervous system for healing, and simple techniques to help get you there - EFT Tapping, breathing exercises, and more! PLUS, we dive into my new quiz to help you identify your stress response patterns and take the first steps toward a healthier, more peaceful life.
**
There are 3 main ways your body closes down:
Fight, Flight, or Freeze!
Do you want the deeper truth about why you’re not healing?
Take my NEW Self-Discovery Quiz to get paired with what pattern is closing your body down and limiting you from reaching your full potential!

My system is definitely triggered by anything having to do with money or finances. I see how I've lived in a state of lack all my life. I have the awareness that I've been in a state of fight/flight over money for most of my life. I've tried everything to make more money and it never works. I feel exhausted and depleted. I see so many ways where I've been in resistance. Right now it's showing up in attempts to buy a house. I will practice this tapping. I will soften and allow everything that's trying to happen for me. I surrender more. I let go more. I love and accept all parts of me that have been working so hard. (I also practice havening and ho'oponopono. I find these very soothing and nurturing.) I'll definitely take the updated quiz this afternoon!!! Thank you for this valuable resource!!!!

Thank you for this, I have been following your channel for a couple of months now, and I have read your book The MindBody Toolkit which is absolutely brilliant, seminal even. I have spent years pursuing various spiritual and esoteric technologies, with different levels of success, and yet what I have learned from you has impacted my life more deeply than anything else, and in such a short time. I still have a very long way to go, but you have shown me a new pathway, and I am so very excited to be taking this journey, so you thank you! and big love A xx

Kim Thank you for sharing about being in the ER of the constant potential for one trigger after another in a emergency situation. This helps us now in dealing with what is going on in our daily lives and the growing turbulence in our society of ongoing troubles and sorrows. To be honest with you I feel very much afraid about the future of where our civilization is going?? And I don't mean way off in the future but in this decade of the 2020"s So again your tools are a real help in staying in the present as we travel along the time line. Peace!

Sending so much love and appreciation to you for the work you do and the information you share. The reminder to soften, and tapping (especially the one towards the end of the video) resonated with me deeply today. I always look forward to your new videos and binge watch the old ones when I need a reminder how powerful and amazing our bodies are. 💗

Thanks, Dr Kim, for this great video. It amazes me how much energy you have. Can you send some of it our way? I have been doing the breath work you teach, and vagus nerve reflexology that I learned from Dr Mandell, but I keep forgetting the tapping. Thanks for the reminder. Question: Will this teaching from today's video also help reset a circadian rhythm?

Kim Thank you for sharing! Triggers?? Thank you for sharing this. As long as the triggers(more then one tiger) don't hit you with machine gun fire. one trigger after another to point the system is overloaded with trauma that one does not have a chance to recover? No sooner do you process one trigger another hits and another. What then??This happens a lot in people's lives when they experience loss, natural disasters, terrorism, unrest, war and horrible events in a chain of events. I am afraid as we enter the days, months and next few years we are entering a time of incredible triggers and hardships. Climate Change? War? Economic Disasters? Riots, Unrest, Natural Disasters etc. What I call the SUDDENLTIES! Out o know where when you are going along the daily time line. The challenge will be living in the Now and staying in one;s body. I remember years ago when my wife and I went through the major earthquake in sf bay area of 1989 people describe getting their souls( feelings) back in their bodies. This stressed the importance of your tools in these dark times when one can be slammed by multiple triggers all at once to the point one can barely catch their breath. Peace!

Fight, Flight and Freeze? Kim you are right. One tool is learning to live in the Eternal Now living in the present moment to help combat the negative feelings of the past or future. To making a constant effort to choose stillness in our bodies to shut off the chatter of the head that so easily controls us with fear and anxiety. Peace!

I’m sad that I’m triggered by every single little thing. It has made me extremely angry as well and the majority of my muscles are stiff. I have depression, anxiety, fear. People have called me f’d and a mess. I think my body is already getting destroyed. Hopefully not. What do we do at this point?
