This 45 minute video is ‘The Pennine Way from the air’, which was filmed for the 40th anniversary of the trail in 2005. This film was produced on behalf of the Countryside Agency by Navigator PR and Marketing Communications.
This is far superior to the 'Aerial Britain' version available on DVD.
Sit back and watch the ultimate Pennine Way journey as seen from the air. Hopefully this will inspire many more people who are planning this epic journey and help to support the trail.

Absolutely fascinating video. I did "The way" in 1974 and 1975, nothing has changed much, except many youth hostels have sadly closed down. I have a personal letter from Alfred Wainwright typed in '74 and hand signed saying well done. :)

Just returned from this hike. Amazing. Worth flying to Britain to do. This video does a great job of showing what the landscape feels like.

Very beautiful... and heartbreaking at the same time, considering that this was all forest at one time.

Watched your Pennine way videos, and enjoyed them that much me and my brother decided to walk it.We did it this winter and got to Kirk Yetholm on Feb 6th..One of the greatest experiences of ny life thus far..It was very difficult, especially high force gales on the 10 miles of Hadians Wall toRapishaw Gap, 3 foot of snow on Cross Fell, and Torrential storm over the cheviots...The refuge hut was a welcome sight indeed..Stayed in that place for 16 hours till the storm abated.Got to the Border Hotel for opening time...This walk is a mecca for all walkers..Thanks for posting. :)

Did this trip in 1976, a bunch of us 16 year olds. No real sense of the awesomeness this trip has. Now understand the significance.

Certainly a "must watch" for anyone contemplating doing the walk. Also brought back many happy memories of my walks along the Pennine way. Really well made, thanks for sharing the fruits of your work.

Very informative, though I'm daunted by it my sights are set on this walk, until now I didn't appreciate how much splendor is packed in the whole way. Breathtaking and it's only a video, to be there must be BIG

Fantastic video! It was great to see it all again from the air and it brought back all of the feelings and memories from my 15 day traverse in 2015. My last day was a 'memorable' 10 hour solo slog across The Cheviots in horrible conditions. It was nice to see what I missed. Thank you.
