My best friend, at the mere age of 23, just passed away on Friday... This was the very last thing, this song, he ever posted to his Facebook page. He was struggling with depression and the heartbreak of a relationship ended badly. On Friday morning he took his own life. My best friend in the whole world. Gone. I found this post and cams straight to this song. The words now make so much sense to me and his passing is eased ever so slightly because of that. A great and wonderful song this is. And were, my friend still here, we would be listening together. Embracing each other with nothing but love. I wish I had been there for him in the final dark moments of his life. I wish I could've been there to ease his pain. He will always live on within me and I will never forget him. Thank you so much for this song. I feel that much closer to him because of it and I hope to one day see him again in heaven and finally hold him once again.

Even as a straight woman, the video for this song made me so emotional and I was crying almost as soon as it began and throughout the whole thing. I could really feel for it and relate. To me love is not something that is differently categorized based on the genders of the individuals/sexual orientation. Love is love, really, it is. Especially in its purest and true form. The beauty and the pain are the same for all of us. Braden really does a good job of keeping his music and music videos full of raw, real, human emotion. SayWeCanFly is a rare breed of authenticity.

It's been months since this video first came out and tomorrow marks a year since I lost some very dear friends in the shooting at Pulse. It wasn't just a nightclub, it was a home for so many of us. I went to the very first vigil that was held that night at Lake Eola, against the advice of law enforcement, and to every vigil after that I could attend, but that first one will always be special to me. I got to hold and comfort some of the people who had actually been there. We sat there and mourned together and sang together and held each other while crying. It was a true gathering of love on the tail of an act of hate. This video, this song, mean so much to me in a way that I can't even describe. Thank you so much for this beautiful video. A thousand times over for the 49 angels smiling down on all of us.

This song/video just hits a special place in my heart. Especially the ending. I lost my boyfriend of 6 months, Mark, on October 20th, 2017. We planned on spending our lives together after just 6 months, but he got sick and went into a coma the day before he died. It happened so quickly that I was never even notified until he had already died. I never got to say goodbye. I didn't know going into this just how much my heart would miss yours.

This song already makes me cry. Then I watched the video. The way he's able to make a song describe the feeling and make it relatable is why I love him. You can hear the pain in his voice which is extremely rare today in music. Depending on the day the music can have a different effect on someone. You can either listen for his story his pain, your own story and pain, or just remembering an old feeling and it humbles you. This is a gift and I am so happy he shares it.

Also I find really idiotic how people can't seem to understand that everyone deserves to love someone, whether they are the same sex or not. I'm don't know why she died, but if I had to venture a guess, her death probably symbolized the shooting at the Pulse Night Club. I could be wrong as I'm going off the reason why he wrote the video, but I think that's what the death symbolized. I hope that answered your question.
