Nothing was resolved. The bride never acknowledged she literally broke her friends heart. You can tell Anita sees her as her best friend, but the bride's best friend is Ashley. Never did the bride actually say "just because you aren't my maid of honor doesn't mean I love you less." It's supposed to be the biggest day of your life rn and the woman who genuinely sees you as more than you see her was heart broken and you just let your MOH talk shit and shit on that woman. If I were Anita... I'd enjoy the wedding from the audience or not at all. I don't know if I could stand next to someone that let someone speak to me like that. I think it's one of those friendships where one has moved on and the other has not. I mean they met in primary school, people change a lot between five years old and adulthood. Whatever problems he was having at the time, he practically spent junior year behaving really mean towards me and just brushed it off assuming I would understand his sense of humor. I don't know what the heck the friends group even saw in him that was worth keeping for as long as they did, but I made the decision to just stay away from everybody when senior year came along. Shortly after our graduation is when I let out my anger by reversing his negative behavior back onto him. I could tell he didn't like it but it was about time he finally got a dose of what I used to endure. I was in a similar boat as Anita and completely understand. I had a friend from the time we were toddlers. She was my maid of honor and when she got married I was not even in her wedding party. It was very hurtful but all in all it was one more sign that she doesn't really value me as much as I did her and I always would be making room in my life for her and she would always push me aside. We're not always fortunate to have lifelong friends. Sometimes people grow apart, pass away etc so to be blessed with a friend since childhood that is loyal, trustworthy and that truly loves you, that would be the obvious choice for most. My heart is broken for Anita because not only did she break the news to her on national television, she told her right in front of the chosen made of honor that is always rude and competitive with her. Granted, it is up to the bride to choose whomever she feels would be better suited as her maid of honor but in my opinion, just wasn't the time or place and Anita's feelings were hurt yet she had to deal with Ashley telling her to get over it, as she's crying.

More over the bride should’ve made sure to keep the maid of honor in check. If you know you have two friends that don’t really get along with each other, at least try to make sure that they’re not being mean to each other. If I ever get married, I am not having a maid of honor. There’s too much potential for hurt feelings and quite frankly, I’ve seen too many women use it to bully each other. The bride is so wrong for this! I wouldn't even want to be in the wedding anymore. The bride not even a real friend to Anita. Plus I would choose a maid of honor who can at least get some weave that match her hair and blend it in good. She got a bowl cut with straight weave 😂😂

So I remember a friend of mine told me someone else was gonna be the maid of honor when I knew her way longer, I went along with it cause I loved my friend even tho my feelings were hurt, 2 weeks later she said the girl could not make it to her wedding so she asked me to be the maid of honor and a year later my friend and the other girl who she was gonna make her maid of honor were not even friends anymore, but I’m glad I was there to still support my friend in a gracious way cause look what happened

I understand and have been in the same situation. Anita should have been told aforehand especially since they were together the longest. It definitely was even more hurtful being told in front of other when unexpected. And then you get others co-signing that only have known the bride for a few years. Disrespectful! The bride knew it would not be good but was not mature enough to be respectful of her feelings. It will never be the same.
