Lots of Filipinos leave their families to go work in a different country where the pay is better, and then send money back home to their families. Some kids might have one or both parents working overseas and rarely get to see them, staying with grandparents or cousins instead.

The song is for The OFW "Overseas Filipino Worker" mostly Filipino Parents go abroad to work for their family left here in PH. sometimes the OFW wont be on the Special day of their kids, Graduation, birthdays, or even New year, just to provide to the family. if you watch the Music video of ILY ILY you`ll see balik "BALIK BAYAN BOX" sent by the OFW parents. and 1 more ILY ILY is mix with a Filipino lullaby song.

Filipinos who listen to this would easily relate as many families have either the mum or dad go overseas to work so that they can send all their earnings back to the Philippines so that their kids can go and finish school and have some luxuries. Of course the compromise is that the parents are never around.

Thank you mr goat for reacting to these boys. They are my 2nd fave Ppop next to SB19. I heard 3 or 4 diff languages in the song so apparently I didn't understand it that much but I love the song and their harmonization. My bias is MO. Fact: the girl ( Lyca Gairanod) is the grand champion of THE VOICE KIDS Philippines season 1. The texture of her voice is awesome!
