That song was not part of the original line up. He was only supposed to do opening act in whih he prepared 3 songs but during his sound check rehearsal a couple of hours before the concert David Foster asked him to try sing All By Myself and then after that he asked Stell if he wants to sing it in the concert and Stell definitely couldnt say no to a David Foster and seeing it also an opportunity he just simply replied "If that is ok for u Sir" and that's what happened. After singing his 3 songs during opening, he was called back to the concert to sing All By Myself. Also, to make it more amazing, this is a guy singing on female key. 👍

Well, coming from a roadshow with SB19 in Southern Philippines before a crowd of 78k the night before, he went straight to the sound check from the airport. Probably tired and lacking sleep, Stell could only do so much preparation for his opening act. But the trooper that he is, didn't back down when challenged by David Foster himself. Truly a class act.

Stell was only invited to do the front act in David Foster and friends concert here in the Philippines .He sang 3 song All I Ask,Room ,Defying Gravity .During sound check David asked Stell if he could sing All By My Self David made Stell part of the main show. Stell was not even prepared.

Stell was actually on the edge performing this as this was not part of his original set list as front act. It appears that he went at this event straight from the airport, fresh from a festival in the southern Philippines the night before with 78k crowd. With David Foster telling him that he only got once chance at nailing the song made him even more nervous. But he made it!

Stell was very nervous already when e came in the stage, he didnt know about the clip, it added pressure to him..when he heard he's given one chance to try to sing it, he made a sign of the cross where David smiled seeing what he did...he arrangement was given only at the time of sound chk thats why during performance, at the instrumental part, Stell's murmuring to himself, i thought he's praying but he said he's trying to remember the arrangement..he already sang All by myself at Sb19's concert before but of diff rendition. 🤩🥰thanks for this rv😉✌️🍓♥️

There is a fancam uploaded in YT that showed the full video coverage of this performance. From the time David is giving introductions for Stell upto his comments/reaction after Stell left the stage. 3 shocks from David: 1. David was shocked actually when he saw Stell in that blue suit upon calling him. He must think, oh he is prepared for this; 2. When Stell held the high note for so long (that's not the usual length of that note, you can check the OG and other live covers); 3. When Stell hit the G5 note at the end. (As far as i know the OG and live covers done by artists of this song are only in E5, F5, hence the surprise look on David's face when Stell hit the G5 note). And of course, overall, David didn't hide his amazement of Stell in this perf. He was generous of his comments.

Fyi, All By Myself was originally sang by Eric Carmen sometime during the 1970s and he wrote it himself. David Foster only rearranged some of the keys and made them a tad higher for Celine Dion's version. Thanks guys for always appreciating PPOP!

Thank you my catalog for the RV ...Stell favorite color is Blue ,That was his second outfit after he sung and performed Defying gravity, All i Ask by Adele and his debut single room. There's a fancam videos of those 3 songs too. Imagine how tired his voice on that night already ! Defying gravity and all i ask are have each own high notes plus the night before that show SB19 just had local show, they are guest in local festival in one of the province in Mindanao. Then in the morning they flew back here in Manila and straight ahead in Araneta Coliseum to do the soundcheck, yeah King Bro you are right when David Foster heard him rehearsing three songs he prepared ,David knew that Stell can sing All by Myself. He wasn’t prepared for this performance at all. He was surprisedly asked on the same day as the concert to sing this song as he was about to rehearse the songs that was originally planned for the opening act of the concert. David Foster probably saw Stell’s rendition of this song in an online SB19 concert two years ago so he knew Stell could do it.
