Sometimes things get bad in an area of your life and you just don't know where to start to get back on track. Too embarrassed or ashamed or lacking the funds to ask for help. Oftentimes that one bit of kindness from someone else is sincerely what's needed to finally move forward. Sometimes you forget how much better things can be until someone is kind enough to show you.

I know what a godsend you are, I had bulky furniture to move and I asked a lovely young man 4doors up to help me ( hubby has a crook neck) and he happily did it for a few bucks otherwise there’s no way I could have moved it,so you know what a relief it is when someone helps you with something you can’t do ,love and blessings to you😅

it depends if they even cared. it's so hard to know what someone is thinking. they could have some type of disability or mental issue or could even be lazy as well. Some people simply don't care. you know the real thought would be to revisit some of the homes that had people living there and see if they kept up the lawn.

The homeowner appeared to be young and able bodied and a yard that size wouldn't take much to keep it at least decent. I highly doubt they will maintain for any length of time. I feel sorry for the neighbors who have to live near that.

Being able-bodied unfortunately doesn't mean you're financially or mentally well enough for the kind of undertaking. Things can get bad before you know it when you're not doing well for a period of time, and it becomes overwhelming to get back on track. I hope this act of kindness is exactly what they needed to get back on track.

I had to buy a couple of tools to help me with the work, but what a difference they have made! Long handled loppers and a mini cordless handheld chain saw (4-inch). Having used a battery powered mower for years, I can understand how quickly that yard could get out of control, so I really want to thank you for what you do. I don't film it, but I do help with yards around my house at a less than market rate to help keep the neighborhood looking good. I started watching in the last few months, and am now working my way through the archive (so you get more likes and stuff.) One interesting thing is seeing the improvements you've made in your workflow (such as the right reach handle, which is on my list of stuff to get.) The archive clips (like this one) show how not having to bend over so much was needed. Thanks for what you do, including the inspiration for me to keep doing stuff.

Another fine example of Spencer's Take No Prisoners style of lawn mowing. Those weeds never had a chance! Interesting how the neighbor and the mail man expressed no surprise that the lawn was being FINALLY cut down.
