Bro can it apply to image also As i import image as jpeg format to it and it pixellated..and also tell me whether i downlaod image as jpeg or png

Unfortunately applying this to an image doesn't help. An image (whether PNG or JPG) is raster-based (has pixels), meaning once you magnify it enough, it gets blurry. Vector objects however are path-based (not pixels but vectors) and therefore can be scaled indefinitely without losing quality. In this video we're scaling vector objects only

@@SimpIguess okay so I learned you have to make the photo u need to make ur photo/layer a composition. If that doesn't work make sure you're using the "full" option because If you use stuff like "quarter" it'll look super pixelated. hope this helps !!

Did you make sure the original file is in big enough resolution? Also, maybe the source file is within another composition (comp->comp->file instead of comp->file)? Sometimes the issue is easy to fix! 😊

you may be trying to enable this on a raster layer (photo, PSD) instead of a vector one (composition with shapes, AI) cannot say for sure :) hope this helps a bit

Well.. it's not 'Compositions AND AI files'... it's 'Compositions WITH AI files (And vector layers)'. If it were the first one, you might have been able to help some of us dealing with rasterised headaches. Sorry man but this is for me another video that almost promised what I actually wanted. There are still more people than that using rasterized graphics where they should be able to scale up inside a precomp if they need a quick upres. Particularly if that object transitions in from a larger scale quickly to a lower one then it should in theory work fine. But the result when previewing at lower settings, is that the object appears obviously way more pixelated than all other layers. This would be fine if we were always handling still images; we'd just handle it in Photoshop.

Also, is anyone else sick of that flexibility in After Effects? Seriously, Blender's video editor does this better. How is that possible when all AE does is video editing? You SHOULD just be able to chuck a low res doc in a precomp and scale it up if you need to. Sometimes it's part of a stylistic decision. Sometimes we have to handle old files that a client wants 'fixed up'. If the developers made more decisions like scaling by a factor that is forced to the top layer of composition; AE would not be laughed at so much. I can't believe they force it to take on the internal resolution of layers. Shaking my head.
