I am an Indian and I've worked for a legit call center. I've recently found this channel and number of others similar to this. It's so embarrassing to watch useless people scam people and I thoroughly enjoy you annihilate these scammers. Keep doing what you're doing!
@scrollmate25904 жыл бұрын
@@GrayDaDolf It’s a very high-pressure job wherein you have to be on your A game all the time. They offer amazing incentives and an opportunity to work in an MNC. But it was not really for me. You have to be okay with taking continuous calls without even a second in between. You are not allowed to take bathroom breaks without permission. So most of the time we ended up not drinking water for a long period. Your every sec is monitored and you can’t miss even a single call. Your supervisor will come screaming at you if take a 2min unscheduled break to rest your eyes. Most often than not you don’t even help customers as a set process has to be followed. So you end up just taking down complaints and passing it along to other departments with the customer yelling in your ear. The only pro I found was the money, but at the end of the day it was not worth my health and peace of mind. Anyways, many people thrive on the pressure and are able to make an insane amount of money so to each his own i guess.
@Eudamonic4 жыл бұрын
@@scrollmate2590 how good is the money when you worked the job? I know someone about to start a call Center job full time and his basic hourly rate will be the minimum wage in the UK. It hardly sounds worthwhile after reading your experiences
@scrollmate25904 жыл бұрын
@@Eudamonic But that's the thing right. Your basic wage is starting salary for most over here. Somtimes even less. Also, you have to consider the fact that kind of money and opportunity for a career with a Multinational would be life altering for someone with no skills, incomplete education or fresh out of college. Or college students in their vacations. They are willing to train you and they give you salary for that one of month of training. Many provide pick up and drop services to & fro work. Over time is paid and sometimes you can make as much as a day's worth of money in a couple of hours. Night Shifts are paid extra. They also provide insurance benefits and more for you and your family. And if you are able to survive for a certain period of time, you become eligible to apply for other roles in the company. You can rise through the ranks and make a decent life for yourself. You can also get a chance to work abroad. And call center jobs are in abundance here. Starting out in skilled and creative jobs here in India is brutal. I know someone who is 34 and have opted for a career change from customer care to digital marketing. He is a college graduate and has about 12-13 years of experience. They are paying him 50 pound per month. You have to pick your battle.

Both the Walmart and Target in my area have caps on how many gift cards you can buy at one time. They also have a cap on the dollar amount. If someone goes to purchase multiple gift cards in high dollar amounts, like $100, and $500 for example, especially if they are an elderly person, the manager comes over and talks to the person about scams. They ask the person if they were told to not talk about why they needed the cards, or if they were given a set script to repeat like "it's for my personal use". Last Christmas my grandmother just didn't feel like shopping for specific presents so she bought everyone gift cards instead. This was before the Walmart in my area had put a cap on the amount you could purchase, and she was attempting to purchase 12 $100 gift cards. When she went to pay for them the cashier told her she was going to have to call the manager over. The manager then relayed the message about scammers. I was happy that he had done so. I wish more stores would start putting this into practice. It's always better safe than sorry. I would much rather inconvenience someone for a few minutes than have someone give hundreds/thousands of dollars to these scammers.

@@rogueshay853 I've noticed the worse they are at the scam, the angrier they get. Like the ones that are actually good at scamming usually do it smoothly and don't really get that angry. But the ones who are really bad at it, start screaming and try to get the money by scaring and intimidating them when it's not going well. My guess is that because they are bad at it they don't get much money and they are desperate(for whatever reason) so when they get someone like Kit who is "stupid" they start yelling to try to get money. It's so sad to think about an actual elderly person who doesn't understand computers or is just talking being friendly getting screamed at for not knowing what to do, then getting threatened to send the money.

@quete inrpot And how much of that does the scammer get? They're grunts, the people who run the operations are in total control. They pay these scammers as little as they can to keep them taking calls for 9 hours a day, the ones on the phones couldn't scam anyone without being spoonfed a tight script and getting calls for 9 hours with only one or two vulnerable callers. The companies make a lot of money because they have a lot of desperate people taking these calls all day and a small proportion of those total scam attempts work. If someone can't take any money they lose their 'job' (ironically the reverse of what they tell victims) - that's why they're so persistent with Edna, the individual doesn't get these chances all day every day and he's fodder. I'm not defending them in any way, they're scumbags, but the individuals are absolutely not making good money when they succeed, their companies are.

@@asuraspath2262Jesus fucking Christ, you must be exciting to be around at parties. What he said is a figure of speech. A hyperbole. Used to emphasize how funny that line was. New tactic: Hold the Shift key after you type 100 to screw up their extra keystrokes. If they’re using the main keyboard, it may come out like 100)) or if they’re using the numeric keypad, it may act like extra presses of the Insert key.
@MartialNico4 жыл бұрын
You can actually make this more credible by saying you use an azerty-keyboard. Those are used in Belgium and France, and you need to hold shift for the full-stop.
