I used to do the nail trick all the time but it did cause minor cold often since i was using those cocktail stirrers.. It is freaky feeling but the expressions people have are priceless since you can quietly prepare the stirrer (remove the seam line and other sharp things and try to clean it as much as possible). Don't use the kind with he ball in the end, it is way more uncomfortable, it has to be straight, smooth stick. And of course you have to "hammer it in" with a beer bottle to make it really look gross.. I did it few times when ordering a drink, the face on the waiters faces is freaking priceless, specially if you have one in both nostrils and just walk to the counter calmly..

I used to put out candles by pinching the flaming wicks and I’d do it in front of people and they’d think that it is weird. You just pinch it fast, and it helps to have thick skin, so embers can’t stick to you and burn you.
