thank you for all the efforts but I'm still waiting to be able to immerse myself with my VR headset in iclone and cc4 and also to render vr 180 video side by side

Don't think they look real or anything, but they look better than pretty much every other 3D avatar out there, as good as MH with all affects applied.

I think it’s because of the iClone renderer. The sub surface scattering seems way too deep, they almost look like they’re made out of jelly. I’ve taken some characters from CC4 and rendered them with Arnold and the results are very believable, much better than what this demo shows.

How to unwrap the textures. I have downloaded the mesh and textures from xyz vface but having issues when importing the textures for thsi work flow. Any tutorials?

What about wrapping shin details from texturing xyz onto a custom face mesh mesh in CC? Not everyone wants to reuse the same characters.

You can save skins and apply them to other characters, so you could do this process from a scan, save the custom texture, and apply it to your custom character.

METAHUMANS are better, free, for Mac and windows, can’t beat that.

also with the new upcoming metahuman animation , it is really hard to beat unreal in the coming years , specially if they are offering something free vs something extremely expensive

Metahumans look fake af though. They lack facial complexity/definition that an actual person would have. Also the eye shader of metahumans needs some work. And finally, the subsurface profile in unreal needs some work to give realistic skin results. Calisto protocol is proof, they rewrote the SSP in the backend to give a much more realistic looking skin than the current solution UE has.
