Scania Production Słupsk S.A. is a Poland-based manufacturing plant of the world-known Swedish concern Scania - a leading manufacturer of heavy trucks, buses and coaches as well as industrial and marine engines, which operates in about 100 countries and employs more than 34,000 people.

The company decided to internationalize its operations and create plants in Argentina, Brazil, France, Netherlands, China, India and also in Poland. In addition to sales and service, Scania also offers financial services on most markets.
Scania buses and coaches are renowned for their outstanding operating economy. As stressed by Scania representatives, the buses are relatively expensive but the purchase is going to pay off in the future, since the vehicles are cheap to exploit. Each component is carefully engineered so as to heighten the performance of the vehicle and set world-class standards for fuel economy, driveability, road handling and reliability. Every model can be customised to ensure that the customer gets the best solution possible. The production process of the first buses assembled in Słupsk included welding the parts made of stainless steel and painting them at the end of the process. All Scania buses are perfected on a regular basis, which is why they stand out in the market also in terms of passenger capacity or comfort level.

Nice plant, sort and shine. the manufacturing of bodywork with frame (karosserie) are shown manually except there is cnc cutting plate. There are robots, maybe it is use because to lift hot parts from casting process. How about Higer, is it build the body and frame only or is it the engine and all system too?

Believe me, you don't want to do that. I worked in the rear axle production line at Scania in Södertälje just south of Stockholm for 20 months. We were underpaid and treated like slaves I would say, once I waited for more than an hour just to go to the bathroom to take a leak, I can not leave my place in the production line, not allowed and you have to ask for permission and it's up the team leader to come take your place, so hold on to your pee and to hell with your health...

Irizar i6 is a nice coach to drive, but as a touring coach not worth it. There’s no place for the driver to store water and his cleaning equipment. The Higer Scania is nice, but the fridge is too small and the heating controls are below the steering wheel out of the drivers sight.
