I have the Autel. It's a great full-featured scanner, however when it is actually SCANNING over the OBD dongle it is frustratingly slow over the Bluetooth interface. Connecting the tablet directly to the dongle using a USB-C connector isn't much faster.

Agree. I think the software is probably not light compared to the resources it uses. Definitely a lot of room for optimization.

@@DIYAutoworksNG It can take over a minute for the Autel to first connect using the Bluetooth dongle. Connecting the dongle to the tablet via USB-C gets that down to 45 seconds. I like the features but I'm looking for a scan tablet that's faster as that delay gets real annoying when doing multiple scans to narrow down a problem.

You're spot on. If Autel can solve the slowness, it would be awesome.

Xtool makes a fantastic scanner However autel has just that little bit more of reliability!! 🇨🇦

I totally agree. Sometimes you get the feel that some xtool weren't extensively tested before being released. Though they try to make up with lightening fast customer support and bug fixes.

I have an Xtools D9 pro and regret buying it!!! Doesn't do a lot of tests and takes forever when it doesn't recognize a vehicle immediately. I liked the Launch 431 we had at work better. I'd love to try an Autel but it was out of my budget for now.

I love your videos as they are always short and really informative. Want to ask, do you buy these scan tools or are they sent to you? I need to get some advanced scan tools also

Thanks! To your question; Both. I buy some, and get sent others as free review samples.
