The first time I ever heard 'Scarborough Fair' was in the early Fall of 1974, when I was a kid, and listening to one of my parents' Simon & Garfunkel tapes. I found myself absolutely captivated by their version of the song, and have loved it ever since. Hard to believe that happened 50 years ago this year. Where did the time go? It's also amazing to see how the original form of this song still endures and remains popular even though it first came out sometime in the 14th century in England. This version is a deep, rich and beautiful cover of the same song that gives nothing away to the original. Two thumbs up!

This is so beautiful.🥰 I've always wanted to be a musician (I have a Stratocaster guitar), and I've always liked the flute, and this is something different. Well done, Joshua. Beautifully rendered, and the hammer twirl at the end most definitely set it apart! 🧊

@@JoshuaMessickHello Mr . MESSICK . I truly enjoyed your rendition of Scarborough Fair . I would like to suggest that you try your hand at another easy listening classic , the song I'm speaking about is : Love is Blue by ..... Paul Mauriat . I'm confident that you will do the song justice . Once you get thru putting your own spin on this song, it will be heaven to listen to . It really is a beautiful song . Looking forward to hearing your rendition of it soon 😊 .

Very beautifully reminiscent of a harpsichord, historically echoing the almost ancient tune and verse of this song. What a lovely arrangement and superb choice match of song and instrument!
