Brant dude! Awesome experience you had! This happened to me when I was about 300 yards into Galveston Bay while wade fishing! It dropped right in front of me and I had to run for my life in waist deep water. Every wade fisherman knows how hard that is! 😩 No worrying about stingrays at that point. The suction from the water spout was trying to pull me into it. I finally made it to my truck and was too exhausted to drive so waited while it went right over me. I laid on the floor board and rocked and rolled until it passed. They can be scary indeed! 🌪 I have never been so scared for my life and so completely exhausted at the same time. It was right on my tail when I reached my truck!

that’s awesome really like the authenticity. some days are on fire some days it’s nothing that’s fishing. i grew up watching the pros and when you go out and catch nothing sometimes you get discouraged and decide not to go. but if you don’t go you sure ain’t gonna catch any. love the vids keep them coming.

As a retired weatherman who worked this very area for 40 years, I have to compliment you on some of the best waterspout-to-tornado footage I’ve ever seen. Good stuff! There have been instances where these very storms have come ashore in Pensacola and caused significant damage. Great content!

I was fishing in the Perdido key side that moment, watching the tornado and wondering anxiously what was happening to the people over there. Who could’ve through that it was over you. Glad that you are fine. The 2nd formation was happening right in front of me. Grateful to God that did not turn in to full fledged tornado! Stay safe and God bless!

Brant, hi I only saw 1 waterspout in life, I guess I was 9 Went out with an UNCLE to a sand bar, this was JAMAICA BWI in the late 1948 RACAM CAY. we only have about 1 foot tide It started getting suddenly dark when the boat floats, it’s time to go, then there was this waterspout, , we got out there real quick, pulled into PORT ROYAL, until it blew over, I NEVER EVER FORGOT THAT TIME, STAY WELL 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇾

Hi Brant when I worked on the Capt Stacy in NC back in the 1990's we was about 30 miles offshore fishing and counted 7 waterspouts all at once from one storm front the captain was able to keep us away from the storm we fished all day. When we got back to the dock we found out a charter boat had been hit by a small waterspout that morning it took out the outriggers and antennas everyone was OK and the boat returned to the dock.

Wow down in southern OZ we don’t get tornado’s am I right in what I saw, the grey area at the base was that monster sucking up sea water into the air. Great footage, every fisho has a bad weather story but one that suck you up and spit you out to sea was strangely enough quite scary but entertaining, thanks for sharing the full spectrum of fishing your turf

Great video Brant it was a pretty nice Hammer that you helped your friend land good start to your day in the very interesting ending always fascinating watching a tornado I've witnessed four of them up close in my lifetime one of them ended up being way too close it dropped a 65-foot willow tree on my bedroom the most interesting one was over at my grandma's sitting on her front porch with her and we watched one go down the railroad tracks three blocks from her house plucking trees as it went
