I think the most unsettling thing was the man on the train right when you see him. You can’t clearly see him, so there is a sense of confusion. But you see him staring, you know he’s staring. You don’t want to look, but you’re scared that he will move when you look away.
@TailsClock Жыл бұрын
Something in horror I like is when a character cannot tell something is there. But not like they're too stupid to look, or are missing obvious clues. So when I tried to write horror, I went with the "only seen on camera" thing too. Because in my view, watching a recording of yourself where you were in the same room as a monster and you just didn't know, is so damn chilling. Especially if in the footage you actually do 'react' to it and you remember doing it, but still can't remember ever seeing the monster. If you remember taking a longer route around an area and didn't know why, and the footage shows you why. That the monster was in the way. Because it makes you question every action you take from that point on. "Did I do that because something's there?" and now you don't even need the monster or the footage. Because everything feels like a sign that you're not alone now. I think I might have channeled by mental illnesses into that a bit. Because as a paranoid schizophrenic, I kind of described how I tend to feel all the time. I just dont have the camera footage to prove it.
@westminsterabbey.69162 жыл бұрын
The Man on the Train is like that feeling when you’re on the train home at night and everyone else gets off except you and the random, slightly dodgy looking dude at the other end of the carriage who keeps looking at you and you hope to god his stop comes up before yours.

I'm hoping Sean being more active is a sign of him feeling better and not just him doing it out of feelings of obligation. Love seeing more content and seeing him have fun.
@Lesley_RedRhody2 жыл бұрын
Past Seán would have done exactly that. These days, I firmly believe that KZbin is no longer his top priority. Life is. That’s why he only uploads a fraction of the content that he used to. Seán spent the majority of his twenties putting what his viewers wanted before his own needs. A perfect example (which Seán didn’t reveal to us until the Trevor Project Charity Stream in June or July of 2019) is dying his hair green. He never told us that the bleach used to burn his scalp- and he actually wanted to stop dying his hair long before he finally stopped doing it- because he was terrified of disappointing people. Which is fucking ridiculous how far some people took that obsession. It’s *HIS GODDAMN HAIR!* These days Seán seems to have a lot less trouble putting his foot down and saying no. As someone who has taken two decades (nearly half my life) to come to terms with that, I’m proud of the Young Lad for getting a handle on it much sooner than I did! 💚🤗🤗💚
@memyselfandi32462 жыл бұрын
@@Lesley_RedRhody I'm happy Sean is doing what he wants to do and not letting the opinions of others affect him. It's sad that he kept dying his hair because he was scared to let people down. But it seems like he is feeling better now and that's awesome. I hope he doesn't feel obligated to post all the time ever again. No matter how often or how rarely he posts I will always love him and his content.
@Lesley_RedRhody2 жыл бұрын
@@memyselfandi3246 It’s nice to read comments like yours and Coffee Addict’s. I think the fact that Seán didn’t upload today (November 1st) is proof that he wasn’t feeling obligated. Also, just to throw a bit of a hot take out there: I don’t think any of the recent uploads were Anti related. More specifically, I’m glad he doesn’t seem to be stressing out over Ego Content the way he did in the past. Not to suggest that Seán didn’t enjoy creating those kinds of videos- especially collaborating with Robin on the effects- but I strongly believe there haven’t been any Ego hints in videos since the brief upload featuring Marvin last Halloween. To those who complained: “What? That’s it?” I’d like to remind them that Seán uploaded that video almost two months before he told us on Twitch about all of the health problems he was having. I don’t have anything against Ego Content. In fact, I love it! But, in my opinion, too many people in this Beautiful Community of ours see Ego hints where there aren’t any and then they get pissed at Seán when said imaginary hint goes nowhere. I don’t know why I went on this tangent. I guess it was on my mind regarding the types of things Seán used to stress out over and doesn’t seem to anymore.

To be fair, House of Ashes came off as more of an action thriller than a straight up horror game. The only truly horrifying thing about House of Ashes was the one dude who was still half way alive under that weird goo stuff, all while the exposed half of his body was rotten and decayed. Man of Medan and Little Hope were more horror than House of Ashes was, but those two also really suck because of the stupid dream/hallucination copouts they did. It just seems like Supermassive have been shuffling their feet around the Dark Pictures Anthology for a long time. They'll never be able to make a game as good as Until Dawn.

I met a Veteran, homeless unfortunately. All he had was his dog , lovely golden retriever-husky cross and he'd make himself comfortable under a stairway to the upper floor of a citizen's advice bureau i volunteered at. I frequently chatted with him because he was actually a charming fellow with lots of stories, asked him "why do you always have a surgeon mask?" And he simply said "I'll show you " and he was missing his nose just like in this video. I could only politely gasp because it was the first time I'd seen anything body horror-ish in real life.

The real horror of "The Man on the Train" is how the girl didn't sit in the window seat when it was free
@rachelhignett94732 жыл бұрын
It's a tactic by women to ensure that no one sits next to them. If someone does choose to scoot past and sit on the window seat, the woman sitting in the isle seat has a quicker exit. What's frightening, is the fact women feel they should do this especially travelling on public transport at night.
