Did you get a chance to ski the XT? Scarpa claiming its the stiffer, more downhill performance.

I did not, but that does look like a much more downhill-focused boot than the F1 series.

I had them in hand and the high buckle does wrap your leg tight, and the flex is quite nice. The boot is very light. But. the lower buckle presses down and doesnt wrap your foot like the boa did. the plastic looks fragile, vibram is barely half as thick as the F1. I returned them. Also the fit is different of the F1, larger heel, thinner toe. The nuts that holds the lower buckle protrudes on the inside of the shell. I got myself the F1 instead. They feel much softer than my 2016 F1 evo that they replace, and I could scratch the shell plastic with my nail. They very much do the job still.

@@Filou3 I bought the XT's and couldn't be happier, flex is stiff, progressive, and heel hold is excellent.

@@Filou3 I think for me the biggest issues were the lower buckle pressure and the smaller fit. I would need to size up to be able to tour comfortably in them -- but that low buckle pressure point might still be an issue. I bet they tweak it

@@AndyLewicky that lower buckle does miss the point. The fit is smaller in the front, which I liked, but the buckle doesnt tighten it at all and the fit is wider in the heel, which I did not like. Also, sending you an email
