"Mortifying" means causing great embarrassment or shame. Perhaps "terrifying" or "horrifying" would work.

I believe the bear was becoming predatory. She may have been considered a “good bear” until the first mauling or kill. If hazing and relocating didn’t deter her, she was up to something more than just curiosity. What I don’t understand is how she was culled if wearing a collar.

I think bear 148 just had unusual attraction to humans and meant no harm! But, over time her behavior might become more aggressive, but it's impossible to predict! 🤔😱👍

Wow!! Walking your child in a stroller down a trail in brown bear territory. I'd bet my left leg he did not have bear spray or a fire arm on him. Trying his best to get on scary bear attacks.

The last story is so sad. RIP 148. I don't understand why anyone would go hiking in bear country without a gun n spray. It seems totally crazy to me.

Bear 148 had ample experience and opportunity to attack or go defensive on humans, but never did. And she did not eat any of the snacks she could have easily eaten. That she never attacked nor harmed is, according to the reports, factual. That she did not eat humans' food might possibly, on conjecture only, have been out of respect for their "food cache". Humans tend to forget, or pretend away, that we are cold-blooded summa-cum-apex predators, the ultimate "What you lookin' at!!??", kill-for-sport type.

Hunters are not evil......Poachers are evil, not hunters.......I don't hunt, don't care to take a life if I don't have to, but, my two brothers and their friends hunt and they are fine people, some of the best I people I know........we must not fall into the trap of disparaging or hating without reason.

Hi, 'Scary Bear Attacks' Channel. Here is a good news story for a change of a Park Ranger that saved a Grizzly from a Poachers barbed wire snare & 'foot trap'. The Bear was not aggressive when it was released as it knew that the Ranger was going to help him ❤. The Bear slowly recovered with Veterary care and was released in a relatively safe location 👍. Please do not delete this link below Channel Owner ❤️👍. Animals, wild or domestic ( humans are animals too don't forget) have senses that we do not possess to the same degree.
