I think its sad the bear was killed 4 simply trying 2 survive after the fact. Had it been killed during that's understandable but 2 kill it after breaks my heart. Sad situation on both sides of the spectrum.

OK-last comment. If people insist on hunting bears (not my belief) or hiking in their areas-don't complain if you get attacked! And DON'T euthanize the bear!

I will always say the same thing. I know that I am not an avid hiker, but people need to start remembering that they are in the BEARS' domain-DON'T HIKE THERE! There are so many beautiful places to hike-why do they insist on doing so? In the end, it's usually the bear that pays the price.

Why do people who make these videos use pictures that don’t have anything to do with the story . You even have pictures of Yosemite National Park .

When a bear wanders into human territory, it is fair game. Just as people say humans are fair game in bear territory. Two apex predators

come on man, "they can't analyze the bear for disease...". Bears almost never have rabies, yes, some may be starved, but when you have hundreds of interactions in only 7 months, you have a bear population problem, period. If this hits the "sacred" lands in BC, that ought to be interesting since they get the holy cow treatment of India on bears in certain tribal lands in BC. But feel bad for the natives and glad they hit back, bear population of Blacks in North America has surpassed a million. These questions by the poster, again, common sense, yes they can defend themselves, quit going for clicks on stupid questions, stick to the topic. Conservation officers know they can't control it, they need a harvest # that exceeds the lower part of the province, more like what they do in certain parts of Alaska, such as 5 in certain units.

No one should ever go into the woods alone in bear country and definitely should carry a gun/rifle that will stop a bear. This bear was probably hungry.

That's not common bear behavior, unless it was emaciated. Then it makes more sense.
@blaircameron71975 минут бұрын
It’s bears being habituated to human food sources. Not being emaciated

I'm guessing the deceased really didn't much care about his missing arm... As for Canadians... You GET what you vote for.. Anyone in remote areas should be able to own and carry at least a sidearm.. Why a sidearm? EASY... While my absolute favorite self-defense gun is a 12G shotgun loaded properly, they get cumbersome, especially on the every day life part of things... There are vast stretches of Northern Canada I would truly love to explore.. However, I won't only because I'm not into breaking laws, and I am especially not into dying because I am unable (proibably especially being American) to have my tools along for the ride.. Not exactly relevant, but now I am curious about reservation laws in Canada vs. US..
