You should try fishing at fort Morgan in gulf shores. If you do go, go during the pompano run and fish the opening of the bay or any of the beach along the gulf side.

There's a fishing tool called a 'wormer'. Its got a handle and small hollow tubing. You run the tubing into the worm, put your hook on the end of tubing and slide the worm onto hook and line. looks more natural plus when fish hit, the worm slides up line to use for the next fish.

We love our SoftScience shoes, have been using them for wade fishing for over a year now. They're only if you're OK to get your feet wet, though, otherwise we're in waders most of the time. I have a whole "slipper boot test" video comparing different shoes for fishing. hope this helps and thanks for watching!
