My brother is Deaf and wasn’t that into Star Wars due to accessibility at the time since VHS tapes were still the norm for us and brand new DVDs didn’t have proper subtitle options yet so when they Lego Star Wars games came out, that was how he got into it and since it was entirely visual humour and references without dialogue, that was a much more accessible way into becoming a fan

This game is indeed a masterpiece, but there is but one problem: You will never _once_ randomly find a Droideka in the Cantina, in any room. The only way one will ever appear there is if you ended the last level you played as one. also grunting will probably show up in the skywalker saga as a menu option so that's great

Huh, I did something similar, mixing C-3P0 and 4-LOM bits with a cape and red lightsaber, pretending that it was all armor over an organic Sith Lord. The other one I had was a Clone with a purple saber, with his story being he discovered he was Force Sensitive during a battle and took up the saber of his fallen general.

My favourite bit in these Lego games is that if you play the Death Star level in Free Play, you can actually take the route Obi-Wan takes in the story mode which ends with you fighting Vader in the Death Star hallway. Also, since in the story mode he’s already fighting Obi-Wan when you enter the room, he’s casually looking at his watch and tapping his feet when you enter in Free Play since Obi-Wan’s not there. Edit: if any of you try to do this, I recommend using a jet pack character to get over the ledge. Even with Jedi jump it’s pretty difficult to cross. Also, Vader isn’t a secret boss or anything. The fight’s pretty tame. You know when you get bored and start lightsaber fighting with your cousin in the cantina? Yeah, it’s basically that.

Also, not only do bounty hunters toss Thermal Detonators, when the Extra power "Bounty Hunter Rockets", both Fett characters fire backpack rockets instead of Detonators, which is based on the ONE scene in Episode II while Obi-Wan and Jango Fett are fighting, Jango fires a single rocket and that's it.

I'm surprised this never got a mention too. The devs already had two games as a basis to build off of, not that they didn't do a good job at combining them together and adding additional content. I think the prequels being combined with the original trilogy really helped with complete saga. The free play mode is also very clever, after you beat a level you can go back to it and select your two favorite characters but the game also gives you all the characters you need to 100% the level so you can choose your favorite and don't need to replay the same level 5 times with different characters, instead you can play as your favorite and switch to the required character when you need them.

The thing I noticed as an adult when playing this game is what makes it so fun is that; everyone has memories of when they would see a movie as a kid and you and your friend or sibling would go play and just reenact the movie. Either outside running around or inside with toys. And this is a video game that took Legos, that a lot of kids played with and turned what felt like playing in a bedroom with toys and reenacting the movies into a video game where you were actually able to reenact the movies... with Legos. It went full meta for it to combine that toy like feel and imagination into a video game with scenes and characters of the movie and whatnot.

Story time: one of the reasons why I never hated the prequels was because of this game. The prequel levels were awesome, and Qui-Gon Jinn was the first video game character I ever played as. When I was a really little kid, my mom and I played the prequel adaptation of this game on the computer (Lego Star Wars: The Video Game). We got stuck on the Mos Espa Podrace level, and it took us weeks to complete it. One day, we were the closest we've ever gotten, and in walks my dad with McDonald's for dinner. He tells us to get ready for dinner, and my mom yells back (while my younger brother is laughing his head off), "HOLD ON! WE'RE ABOUT TO BEAT THE PODRACE!". And we did that night! Now I'm nineteen, and my brother is fifteen, and we still play The Complete Saga on our old Wii U whenever we feel bored or need a pick-me-up. So hats off to you, Lego Star Wars. Long may you live. PS: I got stuck on the flying levels all the time as well, and the Jabba's Palace level as well. The only difference was that in my experience, I got stuck on the part where you had to free Threepio and Artoo. My friend told me you needed to use the Jedi double-jump Lightsaber thrust thing to get into their cages, or, what me and my third-grade friends called the "Mad Jedi Jump". I still use that term!
