Honestly, I have not tried connecting my iPhone, but conceptually it should work. But you need to make sure that your car supports wired CarPlay

If you want to use apps that require internet connection like KZbin etc. But if you just want to watch the stored videos on your stick then you dont need to connect to wifi

If you make a video then do it correctly and read the manual. You're not supposed to use the USB of the ottocast to power the tv stick. That is for firmware update only. It cant produce enough power, even if it worked it might die. You have to use a separate usb to power the stick.

You are correct, my apologies. Its better to connect the TV stick with another USB slot in the car for power.

Is there any input delay or framerate issues? I'm wanting to possibly get this to plug in an Xbox, but if there is a noticeable amount of input delay or drops in framerate then this may not be the best option. Also would this work on an aftermarket stereo that has wired Apple CarPlay?

There wasnt any delay or lag when I tested it. I suggest you order it and try it in your car, if you dont like it, then return it, they have a 30 days refund policy
