Schecter Diamond Series E-1 - Review And Demo - In This video we take a close up look at the Schecter E-1 FR S Diamond Series guitar in translucent purple. This guitar is not only beautiful, it is well crafted and totally licks serious butt. It has a a sustaniac neck pickup and a USA Schecter Apocalypse VI Bridge pickup along with a Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo. 24 frets and ebony fretboard. Grover tuners, block inlays and a flame maple top. This guitar is a serious war machine, but is very beautiful and majestic at the same time. The carbon fiber binding really setts off the top and shape of the guitar as well. Nice. I have a Schecter Reaper with a Sustainiac and I just love it. It's so smooth and easy to play that I feel like the guitar practically plays itself. (And if I leave the Sustainiac on by accident and put the guitar down and step away from it, it literally does play itself.....)

Class looking, and sounding guitar man. Shecter are really knocking it out of the park at this moment with their guitars. This just reminded me of the fender telecaster custom thats made in the same korean factory I believe. Beautiful flame maple top with a pair of hot seymour duncan pickups.

I have one, I love the guitar, but the way it hangs. Because of the strap buttons positions, specially the top button in the back, it tends to lean forward, away from my body instead of straight. I wonder why they did not place the buttom on the side of the small upper horn.

Marty, I have actually been looking at this guitar, the other is the EVH 5150 Series Standard. Since you have both and besides the price difference which one would you buy? I've only played a Gibson destroyer body a few time and not sure if its for me. Thanks

Not sure ... it's a personal preference. Things to consider.... The EVH is definitely a Van Halen guitar and one trick pony for the most part. It's amazing. If you get the striped EVH Frankie it's all Van Halen. (Image wise). But they're great! And EVH Wolfgang is a little less VH in appearance since no stripes. The Schecter has a wonderful trem but it is floating. If you don't want to fool with a floating Floyd then it's not the guitar for you. The EVH is a fixed Floyd non floating. Both guitars shred and are great tone wise. The Schecter is huge and requires a big case lol. Something many people don't consider until a gig comes up or they have to take it somewhere. 🤷
