Any issues with fret buzz/inability to get the action low? I just got one and I have a lot of buzzing/have to keep the action relatively high.

Sounds like a truss rod tweak and then some saddle work could be needed. Mine played pretty well out of the box, but I worked on the intonation for some very minor adjustments. You may want to look to see how the nut is cut as well. @@timnichols7183

Ended up putting in a SD Antiquity neck and a Pearly Gates bridge. It changed the dynamics, but I am very pleased with the volume balance and tones produced. Just thought I'd give you an update 😊

I finally pulled the trigger! Sweetwater had a green one with incredible grain that I couldn't resist. Should be here in 2 or 3 days. I have high hopes. If it sounds as good as it looks it will be a winner.

I ended up doing a tele shaped P90 in the bridge to more closely match the neck and I absolutely love it. Ive been wanting an all p90 guitar for a while anyways and i felt like this would be a good match for my plans. I had to raise the bridge a little more than what i normally would to get a good match with the neck, but it sounds great now that Ive got it dialed in. The middle position now has a really monster balanced tone and the bridge by itself sounds really nice and clear but still very twangy. I still prefer the neck, but that neck pickup is something a bit special in my opinion.

John since you also cycle: have you ever watched some cycling videos by Jasper Verkuijl on yt? I'm mentioning him because I feel his powerful intro would be great for your channel as well. So instead of a muted "Hi, it's Jonathan." you could go for a similar, hyped up "GOOD DAY GUITAR FA-NA-TICS!!" Including the exaggerated hand gestures. It's a good way to keep your audience engaged imo.

I'm very close to buy this exact model but I fear that the neck is too slim for my taste. Wide and slim is not my cup of tea. How does it compare to a G&L Asat Special Tribute ? I have one and I know you played one in the past. I suspect that they have similar width/string spacing but the G&L is a bit thicker. Thank you ! 👍

Jon, I got this guitar about 2 years ago and I love it. Same issue with the bridge-what I’ve done is raise the bridge pick up about as high as possible and it did the trick….although I’ll still probably end up getting a hotter bridge pick up eventually. Do you still have yours? It’s definitely one of my favorites and I don’t think I could ever part with it. PS LOVE you’re playing.
