That roadside wood looks so much better than free wood service stuff. Just cleaner, splits better. Plus, it gives your video a different look every time . I don't know why you just wouldn't get that roadie wood when you have a jackpot...

I'd imagine it's the work output needed just to get it home. When it's easier to drive out and have someone load up the trailer with logs, or have the logs dropped off.

At least it's cold but sunny up your way. It's been raining here. So I haven't been able to get out and cut any firewood here lately. Great video

Nice Splitting Scheib. Beautiful Red and White Oak. Great looking Trailer full. Yes now you have to stack it. Not much going on in my Woodyard, to much Snow and Mud for a few days. Hopefully Saturday I can Cut some up. Keep up your Great Videos my Friend. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.

I think that boxed wood splitter is the best invention since ...since cavemen started inventing things and dragging them to the Patent Office!

Huge load of nice firewood!! Is it just me or do the halves have less waste then the whole rounds? It must be how they lay in the trough. I know it would be more work but wonder if it would be worth it to always flip them over (round side down) once halway point is reached? I just know in the beginning when it was all halves there was very little waste at all.👍

The white oak was a little stringy it made more slash then the red oak half’s

There is a used 12-22 in my area for sale. Older with only 25 hours, Honda engine but no oil cooler. $10,700, tempted but I don't really split enough wood to justify it.

@@OutsidewithScheib The problem that im trying to understand is, how would you tell the difference of the bark on red oak vs white oak while its laid on the ground?
